Three title matches are announced for the show in San Antonio
WWE brought back one of its most iconic events, Saturday Night’s Main Event, to primetime television after a 16-year hiatus, last month. Following the success of the December 14 episode of SNME, the Stamford-based promotion is now preparing for the next edition of SNME.
The January 25 edition of SNME will emanate live from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. Much like the last edition, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event from San Antonio, Texas, is also expected to be a blockbuster.
Three title matches, a contract signing between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens along with a battle of two giants are scheduled for the show this Saturday.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is set to defend his title once again against Jey Uso. This is his first defense since the last edition of SNME where he defended the title in a triple threat match against Finn Balor and Damian Priest.
On the other hand, Bron Breakker is set to defend his Intercontinental title against Sheamus as the WWE legend looks to clinch the only title that has eluded him in his WWE career. Braun Strowman will collide against the dangerous Jacob Fatu in a clash of the behemoths at the show.
The newly crowned Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is scheduled to lock horns against Nia Jax with her title on the line this Saturday. The match was set up following a backstage attack and a brawl between the two.
Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens will meet in San Antonio to sign the contract for their ladder match for the Undisputed WWE title taking place at the Royal Rumble PLE. This contract signing will be moderated by San Antonio’s own Shawn Michaels.
