Aleister Black will be in action this week on SmackDown!
While many sports and entertainment industries have an off-season, WWE does not, this is the case right now as following WrestleMania 41, the promotion has kicked off preparation for the next PLE, which is Backlash 2025.
The Stamford-based promotion has also announced multiple matches for the show, which is set for May 10, and will continue the build towards the PLE this week on Friday Night SmackDown, likely announcing more matches for the show.
The May 02 episode of Friday Night SmackDown will emanate live from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, USA.
After weeks of teasing his return, Aleister Black made his return on last week’s show, this was his first appearance since 2021. Black interrupted The Miz‘s segment, which irked him as he tried to confront Aleister, who took out the Miz with a vicious black mass. The two stars are now set to battle in a singles match.
Furthermore, ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton will be live on this week’s show ahead of the Backlash PLE, where he is set to battle the Champion, John Cena, for the Undisputed title. Last week’s showdown between the two ended in Orton flatlining Cena with an RKO as the challenger retaliated to a cheap shot during their segment.
