These wrestlers got their first-ever WrestleMania moment
WrestleMania is the biggest event on professional wrestling’s calendar and every WWE superstar dreams of being a part of the spectacle. The 41st edition of the showcase of the immortals concluded recently and was one of the most successful shows in the industry’s history.
We saw veterans like John Cena win his 17th World title and Roman Reigns main event his 10th WrestleMania. While WrestleMania 41 served as a reminder of these legends slowly reaching the end of their wrestling careers, it also marked the beginning of new superstars getting their exposure to the grandest stage of them all.
In this article, we will take a look at all the superstars who made their Mania debut at WrestleMania 41.
Joe Hendry
The TNA World Champion made his surprising debut on night two of WrestleMania when he answered Randy Orton’s open challenge. It was a memorable night for him as he received a great reaction from the fans and got the opportunity to go head-to-head against one of the greatest of all time.
Despite losing, it showed that he has a great career ahead of him and fans can’t wait for him to finally make the switch from TNA to World Wrestling Entertainment.
Tiffany Straton
Tiffany Straton made her SmackDown debut in February 2024 and has experienced nothing but success since then. She won her first World title in less than a year on the main roster and had Charlotte Flair as her first-ever WrestleMania opponent.
Tiffany impressed everyone with her debut match and retained her title against the veteran as well. Triple H showered her with praise after the event as well and fans are also very excited about what’s next for the superstar.
Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria made history earlier this year by winning the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental championship on Raw. She also made her WrestleMania debut last weekend, where she teamed up with the returning Becky Lynch to take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Lyra and Becky ended up winning the match and the former joined an elite list of stars who have won gold on their WrestleMania debut.
El Grande Americano
El Grande Americano has taken the red brand by storm and was locked in to face the legendary Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 41. An ill-timed injury to Mysterio sidelined him from the event and resulted in Americano facing Rey Fenix at the premium live event instead.
Rey Fenix was determined to win however, a cheap shot from an illegal metal plate led to one of the greatest luchadors of all time picking up the win at WWE’s flagship event.
Jacob Fatu
The Samoan Ware Wolf is one of the most dominant figures in WWE right now and captured his first title on his WrestleMania debut against LA Knight.
Known for his strength and agility, Jacob Fatu is a fan favorite. Despite following Solo Sikoa for the most part during his first year with the company, Jacob established himself as a singles superstar in the past few months.
Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how this title win will affect his dynamic with Solo who is yet to win a title on the main roster despite being on it for way longer than Jacob.
Penta
The fatal four-way match featuring Bron Breakker, Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Penta for the WWE Intercontinental championship was arguably the best match of the entire event across both nights.
Despite failing to win the title, Penta had a strong outing. He is a fan favorite and is known for his exceptional in-ring ability. He will be a mainstay on WWE programming and will continue his pursuit of the IC title in the future.
Bron Breakker
WrestleMania 41 was a very special event for Bron Breakker. He went into the show as the Intercontinental champion and made his WrestleMania debut in the same city his father and uncle did 32 years ago.
Despite losing the title, WWE has big plans for the former NXT champion in 2025 as he aligned himself with Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman to take down CM Punk and Roman Reigns on the latest Raw episode. This turn of events will mark his transition from the upper mid-card to the main event scene of the main roster.
Rey Fenix
Rey Fenix was not supposed to feature on WrestleMania 41, but an injury to Rey Mysterio led to him picking Rey Fenix as his replacement against El Grande Americano.
This resulted in Fenix making his WrestleMania debut. Fans were underwhelmed by his loss at his debut after recently making his debut, but WWE can restore his momentum with good booking decisions in upcoming weeks.
