Three titles changed hands on WrestleMania 41 night two
WrestleMania 41 Night Two delivered an unforgettable spectacle, packed with high drama, brutal action, and game-changing moments. The grandest stage of them all saw not one, not two, but three major title changes, reshaping the landscape of WWE in one electrifying night.
From Dominik Mysterio’s shocking Intercontinental Title win to Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria capturing tag team gold, and the jaw-dropping main event where John Cena made history with his 17th world title, this was a night that reminded fans exactly why WrestleMania is the pinnacle of sports entertainment. Titles changed, legacies grew and shockwaves were felt across the WWE Universe.
WWE Intercontinental Championship – Dominik Mysterio
In one of the wildest Fatal Four-Way matches in recent memory, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio emerged victorious over Bron Breakker, Penta and Finn Balor to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41.
The match was fast-paced and chaotic, with jaw-dropping spots like Penta wiping out his opponents with a tope con giro and Breakker spearing Carlito through the announce table.
Despite Breakker’s dominance, a perfectly timed frog splash by Mysterio on the champion gave him the win and his first singles title on the grandest stage.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – Lyra Valkyria & Becky Lynch
In another major shake-up, Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria dethroned Judgment Day’s Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania 41.
The chemistry between the veteran Lynch and the rising Valkyria proved too much for the champions, as they withstood everything Liv and Raquel threw at them. A clutch tornado DDT by Lyra, followed by a Manhandle Slam from Becky, sealed the deal, crowning the unlikely duo as champions.
Undisputed WWE Championship – John Cena
In the night’s most emotional and controversial moment, John Cena shocked the WWE Universe by defeating Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship and officially become a 17-time world champion, surpassing Ric Flair’s iconic record at WrestleMania 41.
The match was a brutal, back-and-forth affair, filled with dirty tactics, a referee bump and even an appearance by Travis Scott. Rhodes fought valiantly and had the match won until Cena hit a low blow and followed up with a belt shot. With Chad Patton crawling back to count the fall, Cena secured his legacy in the most Cena way possible.
