The promotion has already announced five matches for the PLE!

WWE is all set to deliver the inaugural Wrestlepalooza PLE this Saturday. The event will kick off the ESPN era for future WWE PLEs. The show is set for this Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana

The name Wrestlepalooza was originally used for an ECW event series that ran from 1995 to 2000. Its most prominent edition was the 1998 pay-per-view, headlined by Shane Douglas defending the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Al Snow.

Iyo Sky and Stephanie Vaquer are set to battle for the vacant Women’s World title, while The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) will team up once again to take down Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. John Cena and Brock Lesnar will engage in one final battle ahead of Cena’s retirement.

Furthermore, CM Punk and AJ Lee will take on Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed-tag team match; this will be Lee’s first match in over a decade. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is also set to defend the title against Drew McIntyre.

These aforementioned matches have been officially announced and are being promoted for the PLE. However, as per rumors and reports, another massive title match might be added to the card on tonight’s SmackDown.

Speculations ran wild following a leaked Wrestlepalooza merchandise item that went viral on social media, as it featured a WWE Women’s title triple threat match between Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Nia Jax.

Following the rumors, a report from WrestleVotes confirmed the planned triple-threat match involving Startton.

“Asked a source about the Tiffany Stratton vs Nia Jax vs Jade Cargill matchup graphic on the official WrestlePalooza shirt in Indianapolis, they said the plan is to feature the match on the card, hence its placement.

However, it depends on Stratton’s status—she missed NXT Homecoming and remains TBD as of yesterday. Expect clarification tomorrow night on SmackDown.“

Per Votes, the match is planned for the PLE, but Stratton’s status is uncertain due to her absence from this week’s NXT Homecoming, where she was planned to team up with Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer to take on Fatal Influence.

Stratton was not medically cleared following last week’s WWE Women’s Championship match against Jade Cargill on SmackDown, where she took a bad bump during a moonsault attempt ringside. The report adds that it remains unclear if she’ll be cleared in time, and fans could expect some clarity on tonight’s SmackDown.

Jax attacked Stratton after the title match ended in a count-out draw, which might be used to set up the triple-threat match. The three women do have a long-running feud and have competed against each other on multiple occasions.

When and where will Wrestlepalooza 2025 take place?

The 2025 edition of Wrestlepalooza is set for September 20 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Is WWE planning to add another match to the card?

Yes, according to WrestleVotes, a triple-threat match involving Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, and Jade Cargill is planned for the show.
