Royal Rumble matches have some of the most remarkable performances by top names in the business.
The WWE Universe is moving close to the first Premium Live Event of the year, the WWE Royal Rumble 2025. It will take place in the state of Indiana on Feb 1 at the Lucas Oil Stadium. Some of the biggest names have been announced for the show, and the fans are eagerly awaiting the PLE.
Over the years, the Royal Rumble has held a storied place in the history of WWE. A prime reason for this has been the spectacular performances of top-tier superstars. This has been measured by the time spent, eliminations scored, and even the creation of memorable moments for the fans to remember. Here are Khel Now’s top 10 Ironman/Ironwoman performances in WWE Royal Rumble history:
10. Naomi (2024)
Following her abrupt exit in 2022, Naomi made a remarkable return to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant in the Women’s Rumble match. The GLOW had a huge impact on her first night back, entering the bout at #2 and lasting for an impressive 62:18 with two eliminations to her name, including top star Becky Lynch.
9. Finn Balor (2018)
Finn Balor’s best Royal Rumble performance happened at the 2018 edition of the show. Balor entered the bout at #2 and stayed in the match for 57:38. He displayed his excellent in-ring athleticism at various spots, eliminating four competitors and making it to the final four as well.

8. Bianca Belair (2021)
Bianca Belair’s debut appearance in the Royal Rumble came in 2021, which was also her first year on the main roster. The EST had a huge chip on her shoulder, entering the match at #3. Yet, Belair put up an incredible performance lasting for 56:52, scoring four eliminations and winning the match in her debut to earn a title shot in the main event of WrestleMania 37.
7. Roman Reigns (2014, 2015, 2016)
Roman Reigns’ rise to the top began at the Royal Rumble event. In 2014, the Big Dog set a new record for 13 eliminations in a single Rumble match. The following year, Reigns walked out as the winner of the match and earned his first singles World title match in the main event of WrestleMania 31.
In 2016, Roman Reigns entered the Rumble match as the first person to defend his title. He lasted for 59:48 and eliminated five men but was thrown over the top rope by Triple H.

6. Sasha Banks (2018)
The first true Ironwoman of the Women’s Royal Rumble match was the former Boss, Sasha Banks. She entered the first-ever Women’s Rumble in 2018 and lasted until the final four for an impressive 54:46 with a total of three eliminations to her name.
5. Triple H (2006)
Triple H started the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble match as the #1 entrant alongside Rey Mysterio in 2006. The Cerebral Assassin lasted 60:16 with his spectacular performance and eliminated six competitors from the match. He lasted until the final three with Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio but failed to win the match despite an exceptional performance in the match.
4. Bayley (2024)
Bayley’s performance in the 2024 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble match was nothing short of splendid. The Role Model had competed in previous Rumbles, but this one performance transcended all of them. Bayley lasted for 63:03, setting a new record for the longest time spent in a single Rumble match by a woman, and also clinched six eliminations in the match.

3. Rey Mysterio (2006)
Rey Mysterio walked into the 2006 WWE Royal Rumble as the number #2 entrant and was perceived as the ultimate underdog. Despite all the obstacles, Mysterio’s passion, the support of the fans and his intention to pay tribute to his late friend, Eddie Guerrero, helped him to last 62:12 in the match and lastly eliminate Randy Orton to win the match in memorable fashion.
2. Rhea Ripley (2023)
Rhea Ripley became a history maker at the 2023 Royal Rumble event. The Eradicator entered the Women’s Rumble match at #1 and decimated the entire field with her in-ring prowess and dominance. Rhea Ripley lasted in the match for 61:08, eliminated a staggering seven competitors and lastly eliminated her arch-rival, Liv Morgan, to become the first woman to win from the #1 spot in the Rumble.
1. Gunther (2023)
Gunther cemented himself as one of the top competitors in Royal Rumble history with his performance in the 2023 over-the-top melee. The Ring General began the match at #1 and tossed out five of his opponents. Despite not emerging as the winner, Gunther lasted for 71:40, setting a new record for the longest time spent in a single Rumble match.
