6. JBL (WrestleMania 21)

John Cena had his first major opportunity when he battled JBL for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 21. The rising star gave a fight of his life and delivered a thunderous AA to the Wrestling God to win his first World title, beginning his ascension to the top of the mountain.

1. CM Punk (Money in the Bank 2011)

At the top of John Cena’s matches, one showdown that can be watched multiple times is his iconic bout against CM Punk at the 2011 Money in the Bank event. Punk was set to leave the company with the title, and Cena had to fight for his job.
