This calendar has witnessed some monumental returns to WWE’s television programming.
WWE has seen some of the biggest and most versatile superstars make impactful returns to the global juggernaut. Some of these massive comebacks became important and memorable moments for WWE in 2024 that will be mentioned for the years to come.
Moreover, with the new year rapidly approaching and the company seeing multiple comebacks this year, here is a look at the top 10 best WWE returns of 2024:
10. Raquel Rodriguez- Bad Blood
After battling a major skin problem for the better part of 2024, Raquel Rodriguez underwent successful treatment and made her return to WWE at Bad Blood PLE. She interfered on behalf of her friend, Liv Morgan, to cost Rhea Ripley a chance to regain the WWE Women’s World Championship.
9. Trish Stratus- Money in the Bank
WWE Universe was enthralled to learn that Hall of Famer Trish Stratus would be hosting Money in the Bank PLE in her country of Canada. The Diva of the Decade made her return to a huge ovation from her Canadian fans and brought an even bigger surprise for them: a special and emotional appearance by John Cena.

8. Seth Rollins- RAW (June 17)
Seth Rollins took an extended absence after losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40. After a two-month hiatus, Rollins made an unannounced return on the June 17 edition of Monday Night RAW, which took the fans by surprise and immediately inserted himself into the World Championship picture.
7. Goldberg- Bad Blood
Goldberg made his return to WWE television programming at their Premium Live Event, Bad Blood. He was spotted sitting in attendance with his family. However, after being mocked by the World Champion Gunther, the WCW Icon charged into the ring and had a tense confrontation with him, which hinted at the possibility of future appearances.

6. Jimmy Uso- Bad Blood
Jimmy Uso was absent from WWE television programming following the heinous attack by Solo Sikoa on SmackDown after WrestleMania 40. After nearly six months, Jimmy Uso made a huge return at the Bad Blood PLE, assisting Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in their battle against the new Bloodline.
5. John Cena- Money in the Bank
John Cena‘s return to the company at the Money in the Bank PLE will always remain memorable and emotional for his huge fan base. It was on that night that the 16-time WWE Champion announced that 2025 would be his final year as an in-ring performer. Cena also stated that his career would culminate with a retirement tour that would end in 2025.
4. Rhea Ripley- RAW (July 8)
Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish her Women’s World Championship after a backstage assault by Liv Morgan on the RAW after WrestleMania 40. After three months of observing Morgan trying to seduce Ripley’s boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, as part of her revenge tour, Rhea made her unexpected return on the July 8 edition of RAW, angrily confronting Dominik and sending Morgan running to the back.
3. Liv Morgan- Royal Rumble
After months of being off WWE television, Liv Morgan made her comeback as part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match, much to the ovation of the fans. Morgan’s return that night would set the tone for one of her biggest and most successful years in WWE, winning championships and accolades and becoming a top name in the women’s division.

2. Roman Reigns- SummerSlam
Roman Reigns was not seen on WWE television programming following his historic title loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. The wait to see the “Original Tribal Chief” finally came to an end when Reigns made his comeback at the end of SummerSlam PLE. Roman Reigns walked out to the ring and took out the man who had been trying to replace him as the leader of the Bloodline in his absence, Solo Sikoa.
1. The Rock- RAW Day 1
As the year 2024 began with the first episode of RAW, it was announced that a former WWE Champion would make his return. WWE left its fans disappointed when Jinder Mahal came out. But it was right after his promo that the fans witnessed the return of one of the biggest superstars of all time, The Rock. Following this appearance, The Rock became a regular fixture on WWE television until the end of WrestleMania 40.
