‘The Beast’ has been on hiatus from WWE for almost a year
Brock Lesnar is one of the greatest and most successful professional wrestlers of all time, who is currently signed with WWE. Lesnar has been on hiatus for a long time since SummerSlam 2023. It was previously reported that Brock Lesnar will be back in WWE at Royal Rumble 2024 to participate in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
However, Lesnar was pulled out from the match and was replaced by Bron Breakker following Miss Janel Grant’s sexual trafficking lawsuit filings against Vince McMahon. Although Lesnar was not directly mentioned, the Wall Street Journal revealed that it was Lesnar who got mentioned in the plaintiff.
It made Lesnar’s road to WrestleMania 40 plans go into scrap and a number of changes were made in the promotion and match card in the road to WrestleMania shows. Lesnar was also pulled from the WWE 2K24 gamings and never got mentioned in the television. However there is no information about Lesnar’s return. Now a major update on Lesnar’s WWE return has been revealed from a backstage report.
Brock Lesnar’s return status update
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar won’t be returning to WWE until he is cleared by the WWE legal team. The report remembered that the company is still a defendant in Miss Janel Grant’s Lawsuit and no conclusion for the filings has been made yet.
Dave Meltzer wrote,
“Regarding any rumors of Lesnar returning, he has to be cleared by WWE legal (remember WWE is still a defendant in the Janel Grant lawsuit) and that hasn’t happened yet.”
Earlier this week, Ringside news reported that they have heard from sources inside WWE that the company lifting the ban of mentioning Brock Lesnar’s name doesn’t mean that Lesnar will make his return soon. The sources see no indication of Lesnar’s return anytime soon.
“Despite #WWE lifting the ban on mentioning Brock Lesnar’s name in their programming, sources indicated to @RingsideNews_ that there’s no indication of his return to the company anytime soon.”
However WWE CCO, Triple H during the WrestleMania XL Press Conference gave hope that Lesnar is not completely removed from WWE, and gave hope that there is still a hope on his WWE return.
“Right now Brock is home being Brock, and we’ll see where that leads to from here. The status is the same as it’s been before. Brock is not gone from WWE, he’s just home being Brock.”
