WWE Crown Jewel 2026 could have looked very different.
WWE Crown Jewel 2026 has had its fair share of issues due to the ongoing conflict in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. After weeks of uncertainty, it is finally set to take place at The Venue in Riyadh on November 7, after Riyadh Season announced that it had been shifted from the King Abdullah Financial District. So far, four matches have been made official for the card.
Furthermore, this also had an impact on the originally planned card for the event, and here are three of those matches that could have happened at WWE Crown Jewel 2026:
Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere
3. Finn Balor vs Gunther
Finn Balor and Gunther started their feud amid their individual quests to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Moreover, there have been promotional posters set up in Riyadh, which hinted that both men will collide in a singles showdown at WWE Crown Jewel 2026 PLE. However, with the event just a week away, it is unlikely they’ll be scheduled for the showdown, and WWE will save this match for a later date.
2. The Vision vs Penta, Je’Von Evans & Oba Femi
Penta and Je’Von Evans are set to challenge Bron Breakker and Austin Theory for the WWE World Tag Team Championships at Crown Jewel 2026.
Originally, WWE reportedly planned a six-man tag team match, with Oba Femi and Bronson Reed also added to the mix. However, those plans were scrapped after the aforementioned tag team title match was made official.
1. CM Punk vs Kevin Owens
‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk and Kevin Owens have had a heated history for a long time, which has been prevalent for months on SmackDown now. Some speculation suggested that this blockbuster match would happen at WWE Crown Jewel 2026.
However, it was announced as a No Holds Barred match for the November 6 episode of SmackDown, taking place one night before Crown Jewel.
When and where will the 2026 edition of Crown Jewel take place?
The 2026 edition of the PLE is set for November 7 at The Venue (ANB Arena) in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
