Major match planned for WWE Crown Jewel 2026 in Saudi Arabia leaked online

Images from the Crown Jewel 2026 venue are going viral.

WWE Crown Jewel 2026 is scheduled to take place on November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite recent uncertainty surrounding the venue and travel arrangements. The Stamford-based promotion has continued preparations for the Premium Live Event, with several major matches already announced.

Now, social media posts by fans in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, have sparked speculation about another high-profile contest potentially being added to the card. The rumoured matchup would bring together two experienced superstars with contrasting styles and plenty to prove.

Possible addition to Crown Jewel 2026 match card

The mega PLE already has three title matches, but fans are expecting more. They might have another big match announcement in the coming days, with the recent pictures posted by fans going viral from the venue hinting at a match between Gunther and Finn Balor.

The speculation surrounding Balor and Gunther has gained momentum because of their ongoing rivalry on SmackDown. Both superstars have been pursuing opportunities in the Championship picture, and their confrontations have increasingly turned personal.

During a backstage confrontation in September, Gunther mocked Balor, telling him that his best years were behind him. The Irish star responded by punching the former World Heavyweight Champion, escalating their dispute. The two also competed in a triple threat match involving Kevin Owens to determine a potential challenger for Sami Zayn, but the contest ended without a decisive winner after outside interference.

Their rivalry continued in October through Gunther’s feud with Danhausen. When Gunther attacked Danhausen, Balor intervened, bringing him into direct conflict with the Ring General. WWE has since continued teasing tension between the two, creating a possible route towards a singles match.

If the promotion does add the match, it would provide both men with a high-profile opportunity outside the two champion-versus-champion contests. While there were talks about the Stamford-based promotion wasting Gunther’s momentum, this match can revive his place.

For now, the Finn Bálor vs. Gunther contest remains speculation, not an officially announced PLE match. Authorities could clarify its plans during the upcoming SmackDown episodes.

Confirmed matches for Crown Jewel 2026

WWE has officially advertised four matches for the November 7 event in Riyadh. The first champions-vs-champion match is Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn, where the World Heavyweight Champion faces the Undisputed WWE Champion in a battle for cross-brand supremacy.

Another match on the same note is Liv Morgan vs Chelsea Green for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Both stars showed much aggression in recent weekly episodes.  Next title match would see The Vision (Bron Breakker and Austin Theory) defending their tag team titles against Penta and Je’Von Evans.

The final match announced so far is Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton, which will be a Last Man Standing stipulation. The bitter rivalry between the former allies will continue in a contest where victory requires leaving an opponent unable to answer the referee’s count.

Adding Balor vs Gunther would strengthen an already significant card, but fans will have to wait for WWE to confirm whether the reported possibility becomes reality.
