WWE has been using outside celebrities in storylines for the WrestleMania 42 week buildup.
The road to WrestleMania 42 is moving full steam and nearing its destination on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. WWE has announced one of the most star-studded match cards in the history of The Show of Shows.
Adding to the star power, the Stamford-based promotion has creatively positioned top celebrities and influencers in the storylines leading up to the event and its activities. So, here are five celebrities currently involved in WWE storylines or in some capacity.
5. Jelly Roll

Jelly Roll has been a regular fixture on WWE SmackDown for a few weeks now. He was embroiled in a feud with Kit Wilson, which eventually led to his first-ever singles match in the company, where he also registered his first win.
Moreover, Jelly also became a part of the Randy Orton-Cody Rhodes, while eating an RKO from the same man he teamed up with at the 2025 SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
4. IShowSpeed

IShowSpeed was inserted into the ongoing feud between The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) and The Usos and LA Knight while also being cursed by Danhausen.
After Speed seemingly helped The Vision win the World Tag Team titles on RAW, kocking down Knight, LA Knight crashed his live stream to lay a beatdown, hinting that both sides might be involved in a six-man match at WrestleMania 42.
3. Lil Yatchy
Lil Yatchy was the latest addition to the road to WrestleMania 42. He came out with Trick Williams on the April 3 episode of SmackDown and hyped Tricky Willy. Later on, he helped the former NXT Champion to attack his WrestleMania 42 opponent, Sami Zayn, seemingly cementing their alliance.
2. Sexyy Red
Sexyy Red has been an integral part of the WWE NXT programming since 2024. From making appearances to hosting special events, Red has been living a lifelong passion for being a fan.
Moreover, she was in attendance at the latest episode of SmackDown and is set to make another appearance at the upcoming NXT Stand and Deliver event.
1. Pat McAfee

WWE pulled a major shocker by revealing Pat McAfee as the mystery caller whom Randy Orton had been speaking to. McAfee returned to WWE on the April 3 episode of SmackDown in St. Louis, Missouri and sided with the Apex Predator to lay a beatdown on Cody Rhodes ahead of their title showdown at WrestleMania 42.
Who was the latest celebrity to join WWE programming?
Lil Yatchy and Pat McAfee are the latest celebs to participate in programming during the April 3 edition of SmackDown in St. Louis, Missouri.
Will any of these celebrities compete at WrestleMania 42?
As of now, none of these celebs are confirmed for any match on the Grandest Stage, but IShowSpeed is rumored to compete at the PLE.
