The Second City Saint is currently set to compete at Clash in Paris!

‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk realized his dream of capturing the WWE World Heavyweight title after 12 years when he defeated Gunther in the main event of Night 1 of SummerSlam 2025.

However, the celebration didn’t last long as Seth Rollins appeared, revealing that his knee injury was a ruse. Rollins then cashed in the MITB contract and defeated Punk to win the World Heavyweight title, crushing the Second City Saint’s dreams and following on his promise not to let Punk hold the title.

As expected, the feud continued and picked up even more steam with Rollins’ henchmen, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, halting any advances from Punk as well as LA Knight, who had an ongoing feud with Rollins before his ‘injury’.

During the final moments of the August 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins attacked CM Punk, who teamed up with LA Knight to battle Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a tag team match. Jey Uso came in with a steel chair to aid Punk and Knight from Rollins.

However, the chaos brought out GM Adam Pearce, who then announced that Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight title in a fatal four-way match against Jey, Knight, and Punk.

In a recent appearance on the latest episode of ESPN’s First Take, The Second City Saint was asked if his current WWE run is meeting his expectations. Punk stated that his current run has met his expectations, both behind the scenes and on camera. He also highlighted his work with Drew McIntyre but expressed frustration with being stuck in a ‘Seth Rollins vortex’, which he is trying to move past.

“For me, yeah, I think it’s been everything that I ever thought the WWE could and should be behind the scenes and in front of the camera. That’s a better question to ask fans because ultimately, they’re my boss. They’re our bosses. I think they could agree.

I did some pretty spectacular stuff with Drew McIntyre and unfortunately, I’m currently still [dealing with] a thorn in my side, Seth Rollins, involved in that whole vortex. We’re trying to move on from that.”
