The Second City Saint kicked off 2025 by main-eventing Raw’s Netflix debut show
‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk suffered injury during the 2024 Royal Rumble PLE which forced him out of action for months. However, he made his return with a bang and kicked off one of the best rivalries with Drew McIntyre.
The feud between the two stars was one of the best feuds of 2024 after which he took part in the Bloodline saga and participated in the WarGames match. Punk’s 2025 kicked off after the 2024 Survivor Series PLE when his feud with Seth Rollins kicked off.
The animosity between the two stars took center stage in the feud as they both went off on each other. The feud culminated in a main event clash at the Raw Netflix debut show which emanated on January 06 from the Intuit Dome.
The Second City Saint emerged victorious in the main event clash and despite Rollins’ offense, he was able to pin the multi-time World Champion to secure his first win of 2025.
Following the Raw Netflix debut, Punk only made appearances in segments to cut promos and his next in-ring appearance came at the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE where he took part in the men’s Rumble match. However, Punk was eliminated by Logan Paul at the number 27 spot.
Punk’s second single match came against Sami Zayn on the February 3 episode of WWE Raw where the two stars locked horns in the men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying match. Punk defeated Zayn and secured his spot in the 2025 men’s Chamber match as he aims to headline WrestleMania.
