Cody Rhodes addresses speculations regarding WWE WrestleMania 41

Cody Rhodes is scheduled to face Gunther at Crown Jewel 2024

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes is currently scheduled to face World Champion Gunther at the upcoming Crown Jewel 2024 PLE. The champion vs champion match will be for the inaugural Crown Jewel title.

The inaugural title will be defended every year in the Saudi event and will not be featured in regular WWE programming. The inaugural title is also introduced for the women’s division where both Women’s division champions will face each other for the inaugural title.

Rhodes is scheduled for a face-off against the WWE Heavyweight Champion in this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The idea of the face-off was voiced by Rhodes himself. There is speculation that the face-off against Gunther might turn violent if the two champions fail to maintain their composure during the confrontation.

Cody Rhodes marked his 200th day as Undisputed WWE Champion recently

On October 23, Rhodes achieved the milestone of passing 200 days as the Undisputed champion. Rhodes has now surpassed WWE stars such as Sheamus and Edge who had 183 and 139 days of title reign respectively.

 In a recent interview with Dayna Roselli on Vegas Revealed, Rhodes responded to the rumors surrounding a supposed Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 41. Rhodes revealed that he is focused on the main eventing the event rather than the rumors.

“There are so many rumors circulating, The hardest thing to do in WWE, sports entertainment, and pro wrestling in general is not to win (the WWE Title); the hardest thing to do is main event WrestleMania.

I don’t care what the rumor is, as long as the rumor is I’m in the main event of WrestleMania.” The Undisputed Champion stated.

Rhodes went on to hint at potential surprises that might be in store for fans at the 41st edition of WrestleMania. “What I can say for those who keep an eye on the rumor, (is) I bet you what they get at WrestleMania 41 is unexpected even to them…this one is going to be unexpected, is the best way to put it, but in the best of ways.”
