Liv Morgan is all set to face Stephanie Vaquer at WWE WrestleMania 42.

WWE may be facing a potential shake-up ahead of WrestleMania 42 after Liv Morgan was reportedly placed in concussion protocol following an incident on RAW. With the company’s biggest show just weeks away, concerns are beginning to grow.

Morgan, who is scheduled for a marquee title match, was involved in a chaotic segment that ended with a dangerous collision. The timing couldn’t be worse, given the stakes attached to her WrestleMania opportunity.

The situation has also drawn attention due to the involvement of multiple rising stars and a developing storyline that now hangs in the balance.

The incident unfolded during one of the final segments of Monday Night RAW, where Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perezwere engaged in a promo. The segment centered around Perez’s return and her ties to Judgment Day.

Before the exchange could fully develop, Stephanie Vaquer launched a surprise attack from behind. The ambush led to Morgan and Perez accidentally clashing heads, with both competitors crashing to the floor.

Vaquer continued the assault, pulling Morgan up and throwing her into a television set to close the segment. The visual was impactful, but it also raised immediate concerns about the performers’ safety.

Concussion protocol raises WWE WrestleMania doubts

According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer, both Morgan and Perez have been placed in concussion protocol.

Alvarez stated, “Both Liv and Roxanne in concussion protocol after they clonked skulls HARD when Stephanie jumped Liv from behind. Hopefully we didn’t just witness a disaster affecting WrestleMania.”

The report has intensified speculation about Morgan’s status for WrestleMania 42. She is currently set to challenge Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship, making her one of the key figures heading into the event.

Morgan earned that opportunity by winning the 2026 women’s Royal Rumble, choosing Vaquer as her opponent for the show scheduled on April 18 or April 19. Any disruption to that match would significantly impact the card.

Most concussions heal within 2 to 4 weeks. With only 11 days remaining till WrestleMania 42, it could be a race against time for Liv to be cleared for the title match vs Stephanie Vaquer.

While WWE has not issued an official update, concussion protocol typically requires strict medical clearance before a return to action. That uncertainty puts Morgan’s WrestleMania appearance in doubt, at least for now. But Liv did share a post on her social media.

Meanwhile, Roxanne Perez’s situation adds another layer to the story. She had only recently returned to WWE programming on the March 30 episode of RAW after undergoing surgery to remove a benign mass.

With multiple storylines converging and WrestleMania fast approaching, WWE will be hoping for positive medical updates. Until then, the possibility of a major change remains very real.
