WWE Women’s US title scene has seemingly been lost in the shuffle.

WWE’s women’s division has been stacked across all its shows. This led to the regime introducing secondary championships for them, one being the WWE Women’s United States title.

The inaugural champion was crowned in December of last year and gained a lot of prominence in the early beginnings. However, the title has seemingly been lost in the shuffle for a while, so here are five bookings that could elevate the US title picture:

5. NXT promotions

The Women’s United States title could benefit from exposure in their developmental territory, NXT. Over the years, many main roster titles have appeared or been contested for in the developmental territory, which could bring a lot of attention back to the star-spangled prize.

4. Adding new stars to the SmackDown roster

The influx of new talent on the Friday Night SmackDown roster could be a major change for the Women’s United States title. With more competition and exciting new storylines, it could bring back significant attention and elevate the championship to new heights.

3. More title defenses

Unlike the reign of the inaugural champion, Chelsea Green, champions like Zelina Vega and Giulia have not been involved in multiple US title matches for an extended period. Booking more interesting title bouts for the secondary prize could be the right move for its resurgence.

2. Giulia’s booking on SmackDown

Giulia was poised for big things upon her main roster call-up to SmackDown this year. However, her run so far has not exceeded the expectations and is nowhere close to her dominant presentation in NXT.

The promotion needs to revamp its creative booking for The Beautiful Madness and position her as the powerful force she once was to elevate the US title scene.

1. Chelsea Green wins the title again

The prime reason for the Women’s United States title garnering significant attention was the first-ever champion herself, Chelsea Green. From Green embodying the spirit of the US title to positioning her gimmick in contrast with the championship, she was a driving force for making the championship relevant.

However, the end of her title reign led to all the hard work going in vain, so an easy option to switch things up would be to make ‘The Hot Mess’ a two-time WWE Women’s US champion.

Who is the current Women’s United States Champion?

Giulia is currently the Women’s United States Champion. She won the title by defeating Zelina Vega.

When was the WWE Women’s United States Championship introduced, and who was the inaugural champion?

The WWE Women’s United States Championship was introduced on November 8, 2024, during an episode of SmackDown. The inaugural champion was Chelsea Green, who won the title by defeating Michin in the tournament final at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14, 2024.
