Stephanie Vaquer capped off an unforgettable homecoming weekend in Chile by capturing the Women’s World Championship at a WWE live event on Saturday night. The historic victory came at Santiago’s Movistar Arena, where Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan in the main event with Becky Lynch serving as special guest referee.
The victory made La Primera the first WWE superstar to win a championship of any kind at a non-televised live event since Andrade El Idolo defeated Rey Mysterio at Madison Square Garden in December 2019. Andrade captured the United States Championship that night, ending a nearly seven-year wait for another title change at a WWE house show.
Stephanie Vaquer’s victory was particularly significant because she became the only Chilean-born man or woman to win a world championship as a WWE superstar. It also marked her second reign as Women’s World Champion after she previously held the title before losing it to Morgan at WrestleMania 42.

“WWE shot a mini documentary on Vaquer coming home and may put the title win up on the WWE Vault channel,” Alvarez reported Sunday afternoon.
That could give the wider WWE Universe an opportunity to watch one of the most significant moments of Vaquer’s career. For now, only clips of the match and celebration have been widely available.

Stephanie Vaquer also reacted to the achievement on Instagram, posting a picture of herself with the Women’s World Championship and the Chilean crowd behind her. Her message captured the significance of the occasion.

The victory ended Liv Morgan’s 147-day reign and began Stephanie Vaquer’s second run with the championship. It also came during the final stretch of WWE’s Latin America tour, which continued Monday in Mexico City.
Morgan and the rest of Judgment Day are anticipated to appear at Arena CDMX, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce teasing that the group would address the events in Chile on Netflix. On the other hand, Vaquer is confirmed to appear.
Meanwhile, Monday’s Raw is set to feature Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta. Reigns looks to avoid becoming the third main-roster champion to lose his title in four days, following Vaquer’s victory and Sami Zayn’s win over CM Punk on Friday to become a two-time WWE Champion.
Tonight’s Raw also features Money in the Bank qualifying matches, with Austin Theory, Big Cass and Je’Von Evans competing in a men’s Triple Threat, while Raquel Rodriguez, Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice battle for a spot in the women’s ladder match.
