Fans have long called for these blockbuster showdowns.
With 2026 on the horizon, WWE has a long list of Premium Live Events (PLEs) that need intriguing matches and storylines to deliver shows that fans can enjoy.
The abundance of massive stars is one of the most favorable things for the promotion, as they can benefit from booking blockbuster clashes that capture fans’ attention and drive excitement throughout the year. Ahead of 2026, here are four such dream matches that WWE should consider booking in 2026.
4. AJ Styles vs CM Punk

Despite being two of the biggest names in the promotion, CM Punk and AJ Styles have only locked horns once, that too this year on the June 2 episode of Raw in a Money In The Bank Qualifying Triple Threat also featuring El Grande Americano.
With Styles confirming his retirement at WrestleMania 42, WWE could book this matchup, and with Punk holding the World Heavyweight Championship, the stakes would be even higher.

3. Jade Cargill vs Bianca Belair

The rift between Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair due to Naomi’s betrayal has been one of the most talked-about storylines, and fans have long been waiting for the two former Tag partners to collide inside the squared circle.
Unfortunately, Belair has been out of action due to injury since WrestleMania 41. However, the promotion can refocus on the storyline once she returns. A massive match against Belair, possibly at Mania, would also help Cargill.
2. Brock Lesnar vs Bron Breakker

Brock Lesnar and Bron Breakker recently teamed up in the men’s WarGames match, picking up the win alongside The Vision and Drew McIntyre. Breakker has been on an incredible rise with fans asking WWE to put the World title on him.
Coming out of the WarGames match, many fans started demanding a potential clash between Lesnar and Breakker. With rumors of Lesnar’s retirement next year, Bron would benefit a lot from a potential clash with the Beast.
1. Roman Reigns vs The Rock
Roman Reigns vs The Rock has been a dream matchup for WWE fans for years, representing a clash between two generations of the Anoa’i family. The anticipation reached a fever pitch leading up to WrestleMania 40, where a monumental showdown was expected, which ultimately fell through due to the fan rallying behind Cody Rhodes, a deserving contender who was pushed aside, angering fans.
Booking this encounter now would allow WWE to finally deliver on years of hype, giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With Seth Rollins’ injury, the promotion has the option to book Reigns against the Final Boss, possibly at the ‘Grandest Stage.’
What is the next PLE from WWE?
Royal Rumble 2026 is the next main roster PLE and is set to emanate from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Why is Bianca Belair absent from WWE programming?
Bianca Belair is absent from WWE programming due to a finger injury she sustained during the triple-threat match at WrestleMania 41. Notably, Belair has revealed that she broke her knuckle, not her finger.
