The Scottish Psychopath is set to team up with Logan Paul!

‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre is gearing up to team up with Logan Paul to take on the team of Randy Orton and Jelly Roll in a tag team match at SummerSlam 2025. The 2025 edition of the show is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on Saturday, August 2, and 3 from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, U.S.A.

Ahead of their clash, McIntyre sat down with Paul on his podcast, IMPAULSIVE. The Scottish Psychopath discussed the differences between Vince McMahon and Triple H, Seth Rollins’ injury, and went off on Travis Scott for ruining the WrestleMania 41 main event.

Drew McIntyre believes Triple H has taken a more progressive approach

When asked by Logan about the difference in being under the creative direction of former WWE CEO and Co-founder Vince McMahon and the now WWE CCO Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, Drew revealed that Vince was very protective of his character, while Triple H has taken a more progressive approach, letting stars experiment.

“For Vince, I think for me, personally, he had a certain image of me, and he was always looking to protect me as this warrior character, No, this is my Drew. This is my warrior. This is how I see it.’”

McIntyre also noted that the freedom under Triple H has let him tap into a more authentic version of himself. He also credited WWE’s evolving storytelling model, citing the success of The Bloodline storyline as an example of how deep and layered storylines are now a priority.

“Hunter is very much of the modern thinking, We’re going to try something different. We’re going to let you… be yourself, and let this personality that he knew I had shine. And from the second we had our first conversation, when he took over, it’s been exactly that.”

“WWE shouldn’t be black and white anymore. We can grow these deep, layered, complex storylines… I’ve been able to develop this McIntyre character where people know me inside and out.”

The Scottish Psychopath & Logan Paul are not fans of Travis Scott

During the conversation, while discussing the right and wrong way for celebrities to get involved in pro wrestling, McIntyre blasted multi-platinum recording artist Travis Scott. for ruining the main event of WrestleMania 41.

“Do a six-minute run-in at WrestleMania and screw up our damn main event. Travis Scott. Piece of shit.”

In the main event of WrestleMania 41, Cody Rhodes defended the Undisputed title against John Cena, who won the title after Scott’s interference, which McIntyre seemingly wasn’t a fan of.

Drew McIntyre plays down the speculations of Seth Rollins’ injury being made up

McIntyre also tried to shoot down the speculations of Seth Rollins’ injury being a work, as the rumors suggest. He also stated that Rollins is his professional rival and he has nothing personal against him. Drew also asked fans to relax and see how the story plays out instead of trying to figure things out every time.

“I want him to be okay. He’s a professional rival, not a personal rival. I just don’t see the benefit if it was a storyline. Like, it’s the Money in the Bank briefcase, It’s gonna be a surprise, anyway. ‘Haha, I threw a match and did this’, I just don’t see it.

Maybe there is more to it if it becomes a story and I’m not seeing the bigger picture… It’d be a hell of a surprise, I just can’t see it.

At the same time, I don’t have to be able to see it if there is a bigger plan. Our fans always try to figure out things. ‘What’s the finish?’ You see movies, just give it a second. There might not be a finish, we might still be workshopping to get there. Everyone, relax, and see how the story plays out because half the time we’re figuring out how it plays out.”

Rollins suffered a freak injury during his singles match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Visionary tweaked his knee during a spot when he was going for a moonsault from the ropes; due to the injury, an audible call was made during the match.

Is Seth Rollins’ WWE injury real or fake?

According to multiple reports, Seth Rollins sustained a legitimate knee injury during his match against LA Knight on July 12. The injury occurred after a moonsault attempt, and the finish was changed on the fly as a result. However, some new reports suggest that it might be a work for SummerSlam.
