Ethan Page is part of WWE now
Ethan Page made a stunning debut on NXT this week. He attacked Trick Williams and revealed himself as the culprit behind the recent assaults on Ora Mensa and Noam Dar. This revelation was a well-kept secret, shocking the NXT audience.
Sources confirmed to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan that Ethan Page has officially signed with WWE. Intriguingly, Page was not seen backstage all day and skipped rehearsals, adding to the surprise of his debut.
It’s unclear whether Page was released from his AEW contract or if it expired. However, he had previously mentioned he would become a free agent by late spring. Upon leaving AEW, Page hoped his move would remain unnoticed until he appeared elsewhere. It was uncertain if he specifically meant NXT.
Page’s WWE deal was reportedly finalized over the past week. He even had a secretive visit to the WWE Performance Center, which was kept under wraps to maintain the element of surprise for his debut.
Ethan Page is also the promoter for Alpha-1 Wrestling. The future of this promotion is now uncertain with his move to WWE, leaving fans and insiders curious about its direction.
Sources who witnessed Page’s debut were impressed with his performance and its impact on the NXT storyline. His successful introduction has set high expectations for his future in WWE.

What do we know about Ethan Page’s WWE contract?
As previously mentioned, Ethan “All Ego” Page made his WWE debut on this week’s episode of NXT. According to Pwinsider, Page has signed with WWE but any more details about the contract signing is not known. The arrangement was apparently reached during the last several days. It was also revealed that Page paid a covert visit to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL, over the last week.
Earlier this month, Page’s profile was deleted from the AEW roster website when his contract ended or he was released. Several individuals close to Page stated he planned to become a free agent by late spring, and when the news of his departure broke, he hoped it would go unnoticed until he “appeared somewhere else.”
Why did Ethan Page leave AEW?
Ethan Page just departed AEW, thus his debut in NXT came as a surprise. This occurred at the end of an already exciting night, which saw TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace unexpectedly challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title at Battleground.
Page joined AEW in 2021, however, he was transferred to the ROH brand in 2022 after a few angles that did not promote him. He has not been on the show for some months before his May 2024 departure. During his hiatus, he renewed his involvement in indie wrestling and resumed the promotion of Alpha-1 Wrestling events.
His removal from the AEW roster page was formally announced on May 2, confirming his departure shortly after. Page revealed a desire to quit AEW as early as February, indicating his intention to move on but why it is still unknown.
When Page departed Impact Wrestling, where he was a successful member of The North tag team, WWE allegedly expressed interest in him for NXT. However, he accepted Tony Khan’s offer. But now, the 34-year-old Canadian professional wrestler has officially joined WWE.
