The never-seen 17 will bid farewell to the Raw locker room tonight!

The time has finally come for the 17-time WWE World Champion, John Cena, to bid farewell to the Red brand’s locker room. After winning the Intercontinental title last week to become a Grand Slam Champion, he is set for his final Raw appearance tonight.

It has been confirmed that Cena will wrestle in his final appearance, with GM Adam Pearce also revealing that he will kick off the broadcast in his final appearance.

Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw is set to air live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. Multiple big names, including John Cena, CM Punk, Rhea Ripley, Becky Lynch, and Jey Uso, are advertised for the show.

The promotion has announced multiple matches and segments for the show, including two more first-round matches in the tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent. However, the announcement of Cena wrestling tonight has sparked speculation, especially since the opponent has not been announced.

Who will face John Cena tonight?

Fans’ theories are in abundance on social media, especially when we take a look at the post from WWE’s X (Twitter) handle. Out of the multiple names theorized by fans, one stands out, which is the current World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

Both stars are heavy favorites and have had an iconic rivalry, which they capped off during their clash at Night of Champions earlier this year.

Punk has mentioned Cena after winning the World Heavyweight title, stating that if Cena wants to try his luck at becoming the 18-time World Champion, he is ready for that fight. On the other hand, after capturing the IC title, Cena might decide to challenge Punk. Additionally, Cena could also issue an open challenge, putting the IC title on the line.

Other names theorized by fans are Roman Reigns and The Rock, while there are speculations of Reigns making his return tonight to partake in the WarGames match, The Rock is likely not making his return and is probably busy with his business ventures and acting career.

Some tweets also have theorized Cena battling familiar foes in The Miz or Sheamus, or rising talents like Penta and Joe Hendry. Obviously, there are mentions of Edge, but that match isn’t happening as Edge, aka Adam Copeland, is under contract with AEW.

Below are some fan comments on WWE’s post with Cena’s final appearance render:
