The G.O.A.T. of pro wrestling will hang up his wrestling boots in December.
The 17-time WWE World Champion John Cena embarked on a generation retirement tour to cap off his illustrious career that spans over two decades. Cena is set to retire at the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which will emanate from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Cena kicked off his retirement tour during the Raw Netflix debut in January and managed to achieve his goal of breaking the tie with Ric Flair to become the 17-time WWE World Champion.
Cena also turned heel for the first time in his career during Elimination Chamber, but ultimately turned face during SummerSlam as fans refused to boo him in his final run despite his heel persona.
During the November 1 edition of SNME, Cena, in a promo, reflected on his journey and then revealed that his final opponent will not be chosen by him or WWE management.
Instead, it will be determined through a 16-man tournament that begins on Raw on November 10 in Boston, the city where his WWE career began more than two decades ago.
The tournament features top names from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and even competitors from outside WWE. The promotion has already announced eight first-round matches for the tournament, featuring some major names.
In this article, we will take a look at all the announced matches for the tournament and their results. This article will be updated once every match takes place and stars advance.
