The men’s Royal Rumble was the main event of the PLE.
The 2026 edition of the Royal Rumble took place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, kicking off the Road to WrestleMania 42. The main event of the show featured the men’s Rumble match.
Oba Femi entered at number one, while Bron Breakker, accompanied by Paul Heyman eneterd at second. Bron entered the match with high hopes of winning it with the help of the rest of the Vision stable.
Despite him entering the match at number 2, Paul Heyman was assured of his win. However, it all went horribly bad for the Badass as he was attacked by a masked man during his entrance.
The masked man whipped him into the ring post and then took him out with a curb stomp before chugging him into the ring as Oba Femi eliminated him with ease.
With hopes of winning, Bron was eliminated in a record he wouldn’t be proud of, surviving only ten seconds and earning a spot among the quickest Royal Rumble eliminations. Since the attack, fans online have been speculating about the identity of the masked man.
Jake Paul is behind the mask, as per fans
The assailant using Seth Rollins’ move means the Visionary was first speculated as the attacker. However, Rollins isn’t just out of action due to a shoulder injury, but many fans also pointed out that the masked assailant’s stature is nothing like Rollins.
Fans also speculated the assailant was Jon Moxley, aka Dean Ambrose, due to the head roll. There’s no chance of the assailant being Moxley, but it’s worth mentioning.
Some WWE fans also pointed out the skin color and directed suspicion toward Breakker’s Vision stablemate Logan Paul, while others speculated Finn Bálor, an idea that makes little sense from a storyline perspective, not to mention that the stature isn’t similar.
Another major name fans have been speculating about is boxing and YouTube star Jake Paul, who is also Logan Paul’s brother. Pointing to similarities in the little skin that was exposed by the mask, fans also referenced comments Jake made during a December interview with Bleacher Report.
During the interview ahead of his fight with British boxer and Olympian Anthony Joshua, Jake was asked about helping his brother in WWE, and even if he was behind the mask.
This was in connection to the masked man who attacked CM Punk during the WarGames match and then started helping the Vision stable on Raw, again Logan Paul is part of the stable.
Jake didn’t deny the accusation and simply said, “I can’t say too much, but, just know, something big’s coming,” he said with a grin. Although Austin Theory was revealed as the masked assailant, fans are now theorizing if WWE is using the same angle again, this time with Jake behind the mask.
Paul suffered a knockout defeat in the showdown against Anthony Joshua in December 2025. Since then, he has not made any official announcement about his involvement with the WWE, but that has not stopped fans from speculating about his involvement.
