Former NXT Champion to face Bayley at WWE WrestleMania 41? Exploring the possibilities

Bayley made an appearance on the 01/14 episode of WWE NXT

Former multi-time WWE World Champion Bayley is currently set to battle Tiffany Stratton on the 01/17 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Stratton’s WWE Women’s title is on the line for the clash.

‘Role Model’ Bayley picked up the win against Nia Jax, Bianca Belair, and Naomi in a fatal 4-way match on last week’s episode of the Blue brand to become the No. 1 contender. The 01/10 episode of the Blue brand was held at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

A few top stars from the main roster recently made an appearance on the 01/14 episode of NXT including Charlotte Flair, Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and Bayley.

Bayley made an appearance in the closing moments of the episode during Roxanne Perez’s segment. Perez recently lost the NXT Women’s title against Giulia at the New Year’s Evil last week.

During Perez’s segment, Bayley appeared and gave a pep talk to the former NXT Champion. However, Perez was in no mood as he fired back at the legend, things quickly turned sour between the two. This led to Perez attacking Bayley, the two stars engaged in a brawl as the 01/14 NXT went off-air.

WWE seemingly hints at a storyline between Bayley and Roxanne Perez

Before the brawl between the two started, Bayley during her pep talk also mentioned her title match against Tiffany Stratton on the 01/17 episode of SmackDown and stated that she would win the match and would go on to headline WrestleMania. The brawl which kicked off after a slap from Perez has led many fans to believe Perez’s debut on the main roster.

The promotion will likely promote Perez to the main roster and she will probably interfere during the title clash between Bayley and Stratton leading to the start of a feud between the two.

Many fans believed for a long that Roxanne deserved a place on the main roster after all she has achieved in her run in the developmental brand. It looks like the promotion is giving her the push following her title loss last week.

Fans also see this interaction between the two stars as seeds being planted for an eventual clash at the grandest stage in April. A match at WrestleMania against such an accomplished star and multi-time champion will do wonders for Roxanne’s career.
