Multiple rising contenders could topple the reigning Champions in 2026.
The conclusion of Survivor Series: WarGames saw WWE tease multiple new storylines, which were further pushed on the fallout show of Raw, including the introduction of new storylines. The process is likely going to continue, heading into the Royal Rumble, on the road to WrestleMania 42.
However, WWE could decide to shake up the title scenario, heading into WrestleMania 42 as multiple rising challengers are hungry to get a shot at the title. Here we will take a look at four such potential title changes that could transpire in early 2026 as WWE gears up for the ‘Grandest Stage’.
4. Becky Lynch regains the IC title

During the November 17 episode of Raw, Maxxine Dupri pulled off another massive upset win over Becky Lynch. However, this time, the Women’s Intercontinental title was on the line, and Dupri bagged her first WWE title.
Although WWE used the loss to further build the feud between Becky and AJ Lee, the match likely won’t happen before WrestleMania. Meanwhile, Becky could ask for a rematch, pinning Dupri to regain the title, setting up a title showdown between the two veterans.

3. The Women’s Tag title stays on Monday Night Raw
The December 1 episode of Raw served as the fallout show of Survivor Series. The main event of the show featured a tag team showdown between the team of Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky and Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, with the winner getting a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Champions, The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane).
The match ended in chaos as the reigning Champions attacked, forcing Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to rush in and make the save. However, The Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan) snooped in, dismantling everyone to flaunt the titles to end the show.
Despite the symbolism, WWE will likely opt for Ripley and Iyo to win the tag titles, as both women are massive fan favorites, and a win would set up multiple showdowns, including a rematch against Flair and Bliss.
2. Liv Morgan eyes the World title
During the December 1 episode of Raw, Liv Morgan, in her Raw return, interrupted Stephanie Vaquer, who was being interviewed by Jackie Redmond. Morgan subtly reminded Vaquer of her return, hinting that she is coming for the World title.
The hint that WWE is looking to push Morgan for the title came in the aforementioned main event brawl, where the Judgment Day laid out everyone, and Roxanne, who initially picked up one of the Women’s Tag titles, handed it over to Morgan, who handed it back and raised their hands in victory to close the show.
This subtle hint points towards a showdown between Vaquer and Morgan, with Liv likely regaining the World title and resurrecting the Judgment Day that has fallen behind in her absence.
1. Bron Breakker’s path to stardom
CM Punk is set to defend the World title against Bron Breakker on the January 5 episode of Raw. Breakker is coming off a pinfall victory against Punk in the men’s WarGames match. The win has once again positioned him as the next main event star. There were plans for Punk vs Breakker at WrestleMania, but WWE decided to book it instead on the January 5 episode of Raw.
While booking the match on Raw likely means Punk retaining, it by no means the end of their feud; instead, WWE could use it to further build it with its conclusion at WrestleMania 42. Breakker is going to hold the World title, and the coronation will come either at Mania or before.
