Ripley and Iyo took the mic as Rhea hyped up the crowd, before revealing that while their bodies were a little banged up, their team had won the War. Ripley declared that the fight wasn’t over and, despite her battered face, they were out for revenge against The Kabuki Warriors, starting by taking the Tag Titles from them.

Iyo added, “Hey Asuka, no one is ready for Rhiyo.” Rhea called out Asuka, but Charlotte Flair’s music hit, and she made her way to the ring, followed by Alexa Bliss. Flair and Bliss entered the ring, grabbed the mic, and Alexa stated that when it came to the Tag Team titles, they needed to slow down.

Flair pointed out that they were the former Tag Team Champions and never got their rematch. Alexa added that Rhiyo could get their shot once they reclaimed the titles. Rhea acknowledged that she expected to clash with them eventually, but not this soon.

She reminded them they had failed to beat The Kabuki Warriors and told them to step aside. Flair retorted that she didn’t step aside for anyone, then challenged them to a tag team match, with Alexa agreeing and extending the challenge. Iyo accepted the offer, as fans waited for an official confirmation.

Grade: C

Moments & Insights:

  • GM Adam Pearce during a phone call with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis made the tag team match official for the main event.
  • Ivy Nile then arrived, demanding her match against Maxxine Dupri. However, Pearce told her that she didn’t need to convince him or Dupri, but that Maxxine was busy training with Natalya and couldn’t compete that night. He assured Ivy that he’d make the match happen as soon as possible.
  • Pearce turned around to find Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker standing there. They exchanged sharp words about the masked man at Survivor Series, and when Heyman refused to take credit, Pearce asked why he was even there. Heyman then reminded him that Bron had pinned his World Heavyweight Champion, and he thinks they have a lot to talk about, the three then head into Pearce’s office.

Jey Uso vs LA Knight – (The Last Time Is Now Tournament Semi-finals)

In the first match of the show, Jey Uso battled LA Knight in the first semi-finals of the tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent. The match saw both men struggle to control the action as both men refused to stay down. A late flurry by Jey saw him deliver a Superkick, followed by the Spear and the Uso Splash. However, Knight executed a crucifix roll-up to pin Jey and secure the spot in the finals.

Winner: LA Knight

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Joe Tessitore on commentary revealed that CM Punk is not cleared for action after WarGames match.
  • Jey Uso was seen crashing out after the loss, destroying the Prime stand and the steel steps before leaving.
  • The camera then panned backstage, where Bayley and Lyra Valkyria were asking for a tag title shot against The Kabuki Warriors. GM Adam Pearce questioned if Bayley was in the right headspace, but Valkyria vouched for her and reiterated their request for the title shot. Pearce stated he’d have a clearer picture after the night’s main event but they are both “under consideration”.
  • Asuka and Kairi Sane then appeared, blaming Bayley for not joining their WarGames team, claiming that’s why they lost. Bayley called them idiots, to which Asuka laughed and reminded her that she was the Champion, not Bayley, and that Charlotte Flair is in the main event, not her.

Dominik Mysterio & The Judgment Day

Dirty Dom began by reminding everyone that while John Cena is the best and greatest, he had just defeated him, making him the greatest Mysterio and Luchador of all time. He proclaimed himself the King of Luchadores and the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever, but said he couldn’t have done it without his boys JD & Finn Balor, and of course, Roxanne and Raquel.

Dirty Dom then mentioned there was one person in particular he couldn’t have done it without and introduced Liv Morgan, who made her return for the first time in nearly six months. Liv stated that she was back, and nobody saw it coming, especially not John Cena.

Dirty Dom added that they knew Cena would eventually figure out Judgment Day’s plan, but they had an ace up their sleeve: his abuelita, Liv Morgan. Morgan said she had missed everyone and Judgment Day, but mentioned she had been hearing some things since her absence.

She noted rumors that Judgment Day was weak and falling apart, but assured everyone that would all change now that she was back. Morgan warned that they were coming for everything that was theirs and declared that as of that moment, Judgment Day officially ran Monday Night Raw again. Liv then slapped Dominik before jumping into his arms for an embrace, closing the segment.

Grade: C+

Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Liv got another massive pop during her Raw return after almost six months.
  • Adam Pearce asked referee Eddie Orengo to do some scouting for him and try to figure out who the mystery man at Survivor Series was.

As announced, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defended the World Tag Team title against The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods). Kofi and Woods attacked the Champions as soon as the bell rang.

However, Styles and Lee survived the onslaught and late in the match Styles slammed Kofi on the ropes as Lee came in flying with a double stomp, sending Kofi flying right into the Styles Clash as Lee took out Woods and Grayson Waller ringside with a dive. Styles then pinned Kofi to retain the tag titles.

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • A dimly lit and brilliantly shot promo aired showing Natalya training Maxxine Dupri, teasing the upcoming debut of the Nattie Neidhart persona, which she has used in appearances outside WWE.

Bron Beakker is the #1 Contender

The Vision (Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, and Paul Heyman) were in the ring after the commercial break. Heyman kicked off the segment with a few shoutouts, first to Brock Lesnar, then to Drew McIntyre, and finally to ‘Big’ Bronson Reed.

The shoutouts continued, with one to Logan Paul. Heyman emphasized that Logan fit perfectly with The Vision for WWE, giving a nod to WWE itself for listening to the Wiseman. Heyman then announced that CM Punk would defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on the January 5 episode of Raw on Netflix.

He handed the mic to Breakker, who began by saying he was upset, not because of the hooded man, but because it was too easy to pin CM Punk, something he thought would be much harder. Breakker kept going, trashing Punk and stating that his wife was a bigger star than he was.

A loud “CM PUNK” chant broke out as Breakker continued, declaring that things would be different on January 5th. Breakker said Punk had tried to break his neck and ruin his career, but now he was going to wreak havoc. The intense promo ended with Bron claiming that he was the real best in the world.

Grade: B+

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Breakker absolutely nailed it on the mic, delivering with incredible intensity as he seized the opportunity to cut a promo against CM Punk. Although, a promo battle with Punk might not be on the card just now, this is something that will propel you into the main event scene.
  • Backstage, Jackie Redmond tried to interview Jey Uso backstage while he was still on the verge of a breakdown. Jey, visibly frustrated, muttered, “Roman said it best, those titles look better on his shoulders and not mine!”

Gunther vs Solo Sikoa – (The Last Time Is Now Tournament Semi-finals)

In the second semi-finals of the tournament, Gunther battled Solo Sikoa to secure the spot against LA Knight. Both men started the action slowly, but quickly picked up pace and started to beat the hell out of each other. The match saw multiple near falls and vicious chops, even Talla Tonga tried to interfere and help Solo.

However, in the end Gunther fought back delivering a low blow to Tonga and then to Solo as the referee was distracted. Gunther then pinned Sikoa to win the match and secure the spot. LA Knight arrived after the match as the two faced-off exchanging words ahead of their clash this Friday on SmackDown.

Winner: Gunther

Grade: A

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • That was their first meeting since their clash in NXT back in 2022.
  • The match absolutely stole the show, arguably one of the best matches of Sikoa’s career, definetly another amazing match delivered by Gunther.
  • Backstage, Eddie Orengo informed Adam Pearce that no one had mentioned anything about the mystery man at Survivor Series. Orengo added that everyone he spoke to said they hadn’t seen anything unusual, aside from noticing Seth Rollins.
  • Backstage, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee met with GM Adam Pearce, asking to defend their titles against the War Raiders next week. Pearce agreed to their request, making the match official.

Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky vs Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss – Tag Team match

In the main event of the show, the team of Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky battled against the team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, with the winner getting a shot at the Women’s Tag Team titles. The match picked up pace as Flair delivered the Natural Selection and tagged in Bliss, who hit the Sister Abigail DDT, going for the cover, but Rhea broke up the pin.

Ripley then took out Flair with a Clothesline on the apron before tagging in Iyo, who moved into the corner. Alexa lined up Rhea for the Sister Abigail DDT, but Rhea countered with a headbutt and followed up with the Riptide. Iyo then came in with a Moonsault, but Flair managed to take down Rhea, crashing right onto them to break the pin.

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) suddenly rushed into the ring, attacking everyone and causing the match to end in a no-contest. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria rushed in to make the save, as Liv Morgan appeared near the announce desk, pulling Lyra from her leg as she crashed on the announce desk and sending Sane crashing into the steel steps.

Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez then joined the chaos, taking out Asuka and Bayley. Raquel and Roxanne grabbed the tag titles, and Liv Morgan entered the ring as Perez handed her one of the titles. However, Liv handed it back and raised their hands in victory to close the show.

Winner: No-contest

Grade: B

Match Insights & Backstage Moments:

  • Rey Mysterio was interviewed backstage, where he blasted his “bastard son” Dominik for hiding behind Judgment Day. He mentioned he’d take them on one by one and hinted at a possible run for the Intercontinental Championship. Logan Paul then stumbled into the scene, calling Rey’s talk “crazy.” Rey responded, calling Logan the only person on the roster who might be a bigger jerk than his son. Paul fired back, claiming the Intercontinental Championship belonged to The Vision and told Rey to back off. Paul threatened not just to stop Rey, but to retire him. In response, Rey slapped him across the face! Security quickly rushed in to prevent a full-blown brawl.
  • The brawl showcased the depth of the women’s division and also saved the four highly over babyfaces from taking the pinfall.
  • The ending also hinted that Morgan has resolved her issues with Roxanne Perez. However, this might be the calm before the storm.
