Money in the Bank is one of the most anticipated PPVs in WWE

Money in the Bank is a multi-starred professional wrestling match created and promoted by WWE since 2005. The match is nothing but a multi-starred ladder match, where a briefcase with a championship contract is hung on the top of the ring and multiple wrestlers battle among themselves to climb the ladder and grab the MITB briefcase. 

The winner of the MITB briefcase earns an opportunity to challenge for any championship of the company by cashing in his contract, anywhere unless a referee is around. The match type received a great response and then started being held every year regularly. 10. Carmella held the Money in the Briefcase for the longest time, 287 days.

9. In 2006, when RVD cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to win the WWE Championship, the title was rechristened as ECW World Heavyweight Championship.

8. Mr. Kennedy and Otis are the only two Money in the Bank briefcase holders, who didn’t cash in their contract. Both of them defended their contract on the line and lost the briefcase in the mix.

7. Asuka is the only wrestler to win the championship title without cashing in, as she is awarded the Raw Women’s Championship right away as the previous champion, Becky Lynch forfeited the title due to maternity leave.

6. Austin Theory is the only Money in the Bank briefcase winner to cash in his contract against a secondary championship, the United States Championship.

5. Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase holders have successful cash-ins to date, making the Women’s MITB a guaranteed championship tool.

4. Seth Rollins is the only WWE Superstar to cash in his Money in the Bank contract during the mid-match and win, as no other wrestler has ever done it before.

3. Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar are the two MITB contract holders to cash in their MITB contract on each other becoming the World Champion. Rollins cashed in on Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship & Lesnar cashed in on Rollins at Extreme Rules 2019 PPV for the Universal Championship.

2. WWE Superstars who cashed in the MITB contract on the same day have a 100% success rate than the others who waited for so long. Five members have cashed in the same day after winning the case and took the gold home including Kane, Dean Ambrose, Alexa Bliss, Bayley & Liv Morgan.
