Goldberg will partake in one final match before the end of his illustrious wrestling career

WCW & WWE legend, Bill Goldberg is officially set to retire from professional wrestling in 2025 after a retirement match. The legend’s last appearance was during the Bad Blood 2024 PLE where he almost got into a brawl with the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

During an appearance last year on the SEC Network, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that his official retirement match will take place in 2025. However, there was no clear timeline for the match, while he was slated to appear on the 01/27 episode of Raw in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia, the plan was later scrapped.

Goldberg is currently undergoing stem cell treatment and has clarified that he wouldn’t be physically ready for the WrestleMania 41 season. In a recent appearance on the CarCast Podcast, the legend cleared the air regarding his final match, while he didn’t specify which show he’d be involved in but did mention that it would be sometime this summer.

“I feel like a million bucks, comparatively. You have to be logical, but it’s really hard. It’s like you’re a frickin’ racehorse again, and you’re being held in the stall, and you can’t come out for a period of time,

Like I say, I got a match sometime this summer. I don’t know exactly when it is, but I know it’s coming up. And I know at 58 years old, I gotta be in my underwear in front of everybody, and I hold a very high standard of myself. And so, I need to get to work yesterday. But the long-term benefit, and the benefit for me in the ring will be much more if I just calm my ass down.” the Hall of Famer stated.

PFC’s Sonya Deville reacts to her abrupt exit from WWE

Pure Fusion Collective’s Sonya Deville was among the long list of talents released by the Stamford-based promotion recently. The promotion informed Deville that her contract with the WWE would not be renewed and “She will be eligible for free agency upon it expiring, which we’re told is in a number of weeks.”

In a recent episode of her podcast, Daria & Toni Unwrapped which she hosts with Toni Berenato, Deville expressed her emotions after being released by the promotion.

Deville reacted with a positive mindset stating that her faith in the universe helped her ‘find peace’, as she accepted that certain things were meant to happen. She also revealed that it was all part of a bigger plan and felt she couldn’t be upset or frustrated because everything happened for a reason.

“My trust in the universe allowed me to just be at peace with it instantly because you can’t fight fate. Like that chapter was meant to close and all these beautiful blessings were meant to come.

The way things happen like is there anything more like serendipitous. Like it just it happened for a reason so how could you be mad at that?oHow could you be upset or frustrated?”

The exit ended Deville’s WWE career which began in 2015 when she made her debut against Nia Jax on the developmental brand NXT.

As per a recent report from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Deville has signed a deal with Big Event Promotions, paving the way for her to appear at various pop culture and wrestling conventions for autograph sessions after her WWE departure.
