Over the years, WWE has seen some of the best heel workers who captivated the audience with their menacing antics.

In the context of professional wrestling, superstars are often divided into a pool of “Good” and “Bad” guys. The latter ones are referred to as “Heel” who are often portrayed as egotistical and look to assert their position above all without any appreciation for anyone, be it fans or their fellow peers.

Over the years, the global juggernaut, WWE has seen an array of some of the biggest WWE superstars who came to prominence for their heel persona throughout various eras. Here are the top five greatest heels of all time in WWE:

5. Triple H

Triple H came to prominence as a bonafide WWE superstar for being a heel during his major run as an in-ring competitor. The Game’s heel antics began during his time with Shawn Michaels as part of D-Generation X. Triple H’s ultimate villain persona came to the spotlight when he assumed the leadership of the stable and was aligned with his future wife, Stephanie McMahon.

Therefore, the rise of the Cerebral Assassin was always accompanied by his heel tactics making him the ultimate bad guy in WWE of all time.

CM Punk had done his waiting as a mid-card talent for years until he launched his verbal barrage on the entire WWE in 2011, which was known as the infamous “Pipebomb.” Since then, he began tormenting former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and his golden goose, John Cena and was cheered by the fans for his villainous persona.

Moreover, attacking The Rock on the 1000th episode of RAW solidified him as a pure heel and he would carry on the persona until WrestleMania 29 making him one of the biggest heels of all time in WWE.

3. Roman Reigns

Until 2020, Roman Reigns‘ portrayal as the hard-luck babyface was panned by fans and critics alike. However, as soon as he transformed into the “Tribal Chief”, his fame and popularity skyrocketed off the roof.

Reigns proved to be one of the biggest heels of the modern era for his ruthless personality, asserted dominance over WWE, and role as the leader of The Bloodline. 1. The Rock

The Rock’s debut as the first third-generation WWE superstar, the blue-chip Rocky Maivia was heavily criticized by fans who even brought “Die Rocky Die” signs to prominence.
