The Ring General spoiled the retirement of two legends in 2025.

‘The Ring General’ Gunther has been one of the most dominant forces, not just on the Monday Night Raw brand, but in the entire WWE. However, he has set a new definition of domination this year as he spoiled the retirement of two legends.

The Ring General lost the World title at WrestleMania 41 against Jey Uso, but rallied back to regain the title and then battled Goldberg in his retirement match at the July edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

In true dominant fashion, he put Goldberg to sleep, spoiling the WCW legend to retain the World Heavyweight title, which he once again lost at the hands of CM Punk at SummerSlam.

Following a short hiatus, Gunther returned to partake in the tournament to decide John Cena’s final opponent and went on to qualify for the finals, defeating LA Knight in the finals to secure the match at the December 13 edition of SNME.

The Ring General battled the 17-time WWE World Champion in the main event of the show, dedicated to Cena’s legendary career that spans over two decades.

However, Gunther showcased no mercy, brutalising the veteran and ultimately forcing him to tap out to a Sleeper hold, ending the farewell tour and leaving fans disappointed.

Since the match, there has been no love lost between the former Heavyweight Champion and WWE fans, as he has been mercilessly booed, which doesn’t seem to bother him as he just laughs it off. Let us now take a look at the list of the top ten dominant moments of Gunther’s WWE career so far.
