Has WWE killed hype for Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins by delaying it since WrestleMania 41 betrayal?

Paul Heyman betrayed Roman Reigns to align with the Visionary!
In the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk locked horns in a triple-threat match. Going into the match, the storyline was about Reigns’ Wiseman, Paul Heyman, walking out with CM Punk as promised for his Mania main event.
During the match, Heyman seemed to side with Punk, handing him the steel chair before delivering a low blow and giving the chair to Reigns, who was visibly relieved watching his Wiseman return. However, what followed was another low blow and Heyman handing the chair to Rollins to everyone’s surprise.
Retribution!

The staunch betrayal left a bad taste in the fans’ mouths, who wanted retribution for Reigns. The OTC tried the same on Raw after WrestleMania, but was attacked by Bron Breakker, who aligned with Rollins and Heyman.
Reigns was then absent from WWE programming, but fans wanted to see him lock horns with Rollins and exact revenge. The two stars already have a long history of alliance and betrayal since their debut together as the Shield faction.
Many fans were hoping the two stars to battle at ‘the biggest party of the summer’, SummerSlam, and while Reigns did make his return, it was a few weeks before and took part in a tag team match against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed alongside Jey Uso.
This was done in Rollins’ absence, who was out of action due to a knee injury, which turned out to be fake, as Rollins himself made his return after the main event of Night 1 of Summerslam, cashing in the MITB contract on CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight title.
Is the hype dead?

Ahead of Clash in Paris, it seems like WWE is pivoting towards a clash between Reigns and Bronson Reed, a member of Rollins’ faction, while Rollins is set to defend the title in a fatal four-way match against LA Knight, Jey Uso, and CM Punk.
This means the rematch is being pushed further for another PLE, which has made many fans question if WWE is making a mistake and killing the hype for the highly anticipated clash.
While this could have been the case for other stars, it’s not for two of the biggest names on the current roster, and add to it the years of history between the two, which makes it likely very hard for fans not to get excited at the prospect of the two battling inside the squared circle.
Additionally, WWE is just delaying the eventual clash, not putting it on the shelf. Reigns’ battle at SummerSlam was against Rollins’ henchmen, and he likley battling Reed at Clash in Paris is the continuation of this, while Rollins is involved in storylines with LA Knight and CM Punk too.
The delay and the build-up also help make the match even more exciting for fans, and is another example of the highly touted, long-term storyline’ from WWE CCO Triple H.
