How Cody Rhodes vs Logan Paul storyline might play out ahead of WWE King and Queen of the Ring 2024?

WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE will see the first-ever match between “The American Nightmare” and “The Maverick”

WWE is moving fast-paced towards its second Premium Live Event in the month of May, WWE King and Queen of the Ring, set to take place in less than three weeks at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The match is set to be potentially headlined by the high-stakes Undisputed WWE Title match between the reigning champion, Cody Rhodes, and his new challenger, current WWE United States Champion Logan Paul.

The match was announced at the start of this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown and will see the first-ever collision between The American Nightmare and The Maverick. With tensions already running high between the two champions and the richest prize in sports entertainment at stake, here is how the buildup to their match in Saudi Arabia could turn out:

3. 5/17 WWE SmackDown- Contract Signing Curveball

Following the end of tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, it was announced that Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul would come together next week on the blue brand for the contract signing to make their World Title match official. However, WWE can throw a major curveball in this feud after hearing that Cody Rhodes was only a WWE United States title win away from clinching the honor of being a Grand Slam Champion.

This could see Logan Paul signing the contract in his arrogance without reading it. But to his surprise, GM Nick Aldis would later inform him that the match has now been made a ‘Title vs Title’ match with The Maverick’s US title also up for grabs and the fans in Saudi Arabia getting a chance to witness the coronation of a double champion in two weeks.

2. 5/24 WWE SmackDown- Logan Paul’s orchestrated attack on Cody Rhodes

The end of the previous edition of SmackDown could see Logan Paul frustrated with the added clause of his WWE United States Title also being on the line alongside Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Title.

The added tension would possibly see Paul recruit back his cohorts from WrestleMania, KSI, and IShowSpeed to surround The American Nightmare and lay down a heinous beatdown like no other, just one night before the title match to shift the momentum in his favour.

1. WWE King and Queen of the Ring- A Double Champion is crowned

Following weeks of tensions, revised clauses, and the numbers game, Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul would finally meet in the main event of WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE with both their titles at stake. The match would deliver to be a blockbuster showdown as many have anticipated considering their in-ring prowess and the excitement of the audience to see this first-ever showdown.

Moreover, it could see Logan Paul’s lackeys, KSI, and IShowSpeed interfere to make sure The Maverick walked out with both championships. However, much like WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes can once again find himself allied to neutralize the playfield in possibly Randy Orton and Kevin Owens who had their own tensions with Logan Paul on the road to WrestleMania 40.

With the odds evened out, the finish could see Rhodes hitting his finisher, Cross Rhodes on Logan Paul to pick up the win and earn the distinction of not only a double champion but also completing his Grand Slam Championship accolade in the process.
