Grand Slam Champion Eligibility
To become a WWE Grand Slam Champion, a wrestler must capture four specific titles:
- WWE Championship or Universal Championship
- Intercontinental Championship
- United States Championship
- Tag Team Titles

In WWE there are 28 Grand Slam Champions with 23 men and 7 Grand Slam Champions from the women’s division. The first Grand Slam Champion was none other than the Heartbreak Kid, “Shawn Michaels”. In addition, Shawn Michaels coined the term “Grand Slam” after winning the European Championship on September 20, 1997.

Two new titles have been introduced by the Stamford-based promotion in the Women’s division recently, these are the Women’s United States Championship as well as the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. However, it has not yet been clarified if the two titles count towards becoming a Grand Slam champion.
