La Primera is dealing with an injury post-MITB.
Stephanie Vaquer defended the Women’s World title in a triple-threat match against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan at the 2026 edition of WWE Money in the Bank this past weekend in New Orleans.
Vaquer came very close to retaining the title, but a lapse in focus while battling Becky and sending her crashing onto a table ringside helped Morgan, who delivered the oblivion and pinned Vaquer to regain the title after losing it last month at a house show in Chile.
Apart from the loss, Vaquer also faced another major setback, as on the fallout show of Raw it was revealed that she sustained an injury during the match.

The injury was revealed on the October 12 edition of Raw after MITB in a backstage segment. During the show, Byron Saxton from outside the trainer’s room revealed that Vaquer is being treated for an apparent ankle injury.
Vaquer eventually emerged on crutches and reassured that she would be fine. She admitted that she was disappointed with the outcome of the match but remained determined to come back stronger, saying that every loss made her better.
Becky Lynch then showed up and berated Vaquer for costing them the championship. Vaquer fired back, insisting that she had done Lynch a favor.
As Lynch continued to argue, Vaquer clarified that her ankle injury would only keep her out for a few days and that she did not need to be champion to kick Lynch’s a*s. Lynch responded by telling Vaquer that she would be ready.
The segment hinted that the feud between the two is far from over and WWE might have more planned for the storyline. On the other hand, there is no further update or announcement regarding Vaquer’s injury. It is also not confirmed if this is part of a storyline or if Vaquer is actually dealing with an injury.
Notably, Vaquer seemed to struggle with his ankle during the match and needed the assistance of referee Jessika Carr to make her way around the ringside area.
Vaquer was also carried backstage by her boyfriend and fellow WWE star Myles Borne. Borne shared a photo on his Instagram Story showing him carrying Vaquer in his arms, further fueling speculation that she may have suffered a legitimate injury.
