WWE might be planning a spectacle at the White House.

Last weekend, WWE’s sister company, UFC, hosted a massive and historic event at the White House, dubbed UFC Freedom 250. The first professional sporting event ever held at the White House took place on June 14 on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C.

The card featured seven total fights, with two title bouts in the main and co-main events. The event celebrated the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence and also coincided, albeit intentionally, with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

Notably, WWE CCO Triple H and the World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns were in attendance for the show on Sunday.

The event was a massive success, with every fight delivered, all ending via KO/TKO, and Paramount also confirmed massive numbers for the event. The White House show became the biggest live exclusive event in Paramount+ history with 17M viewers in the U.S. and Latin America.

Following the massive success of the UFC event, murmurs of WWE holding a Premium Live Event (PLE) at the White House have gained traction among fans. Given WWE’s track record of producing large-scale spectacles, many believe the company is capable of delivering an event of similar grandeur, especially with potential support from UFC personnel who helped stage the historic show.

No, the promotion has no current plans to host an event at the White House. According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, despite the success of UFC Freedom 250, WWE currently has no plans to stage an event at the White House. While the company would reportedly be open to exploring the idea if it made financial sense, it is not under consideration at present.

The report added that TKO viewed Freedom 250 as a successful venture, and many within WWE are enthusiastic about the prospect of a White House show, though no such event is being planned at this time.

While UFC has hosted only two major outdoor, open-air events (with the first being UFC 112), the Stamford-based promotion, on the other hand, has hosted multiple outdoor events in football or baseball stadiums and even a show for the United States troops at military bases.
