Brock Lesnar evened the score on Sunday.
After suffering defeat at the hands of Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42 in April, Brock Lesnar left his wrestling boots inside the ring, signalling retirement. However, Lesnar returned last month to attack Femi on Raw and then challenged him to a match at Clash in Italy.
The two met once again inside the squared circle in Turin, Italy, this past Sunday in the co-main event of the PLE. Lesnar, this time around, wasted no time, attacking Femi with seven F5S, even targeting his arm with a Kimura.
Lesnar managed to pin Femi after the seventh F5 and even the score at 1-1. This sparked speculations on a rubber match between the two, and a new report from the Wrestling Observer has provided an update.
Oba Femi will win the rubber match

Dave Meltzer, on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, reported that WWE is indeed planning a rubber match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. Metlzer also noted that Femi will win the rubber match to conclude the feud.
“They want to do a one and one, and then Oba wins the third…kind of like what they did with Cody and Brock a couple of years ago,
And that’s just…if you’re going to do a three match series, which has always been the plan in this feud…to do a three match series, then obviously you’ve got to split one and one.”
Metlzer also expressed his opinion on Femi’s loss, stating that the loss was unnecessary. While Meltzer expects Femi to recover from the setback over time, he argued that the defeat diminished his dominance, considering the trajectory he was on.
“Beating Oba Femi with Brock Lesnar, it just…it was just…I expected it, and I think that’s part of the problem is I expected it because I know the thinking, and it’s like they whiffed, bad, Not that it killed him and…like I said, he’s going to win the next one. He’ll be fine, he’ll still be over.
But they squandered his first loss building somebody, they took him from being something, someone unbeatable when he finally goes for the World Title, to someone we know ‘Hey, he can be beaten. He’s like everyone else.'”

Fans will now have to wait to see how WWE plans the third match and where it eventually takes place. SummerSlam 2026 is one of the leading options as the PLE will emanate from Minneapolis, the city where Lesnar is billed from, and there were reports of his retirement at the PLE before Mania.
