After the win in the main event, Reigns mentioned Rhodes, sparking massive speculations among fans. “QB1? F**K all that noise, it’s The Tribal Chief’s game.” Reigns said. Cody even responded during the post-show, making it clear that he isn’t backing down from a fight.
What further drummed up interest for fans was the two crossing paths backstage after the PLE, followed by an intense yet brief face-off. It all led to rumors and speculations about a trilogy.

Roman vs Cody is a massive match for WWE, and the promotion might be saving the match for a later date. The two stars have met twice inside the squared circle. Their first meeting at WrestleMania 39 ended in Roman retaining the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
However, at WrestleMania 40, Rhodes finished the story and pinned Reign to end the iconic reign of 1316 days and become the new Undisputed Champion, and solidify his status as the face of the company. The two stars are now 1-1 in singles competition, and a rubber match has been speculated for a long time.
