The all-women’s PLE will emanate from Atlanta, Georgia.

After a seven-year gap, WWE is again gearing up to deliver the all-women’s PLE, Evolution. The second edition of Evolution is set to take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.

The 2025 edition will be the first Evolution and the first all-women’s wrestling event to broadcast on both Netflix and Peacock. Following Night of Champions 2025, the promotion will now start to build towards the PLE.

Both Raw and SmackDown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis are set to bring things into focus for Evolution on the June 30 episode of Raw. However, reports have already suggested about three matches that are seemingly set for the show on July 13.

What Happened?

According to Cory Hayes of Bodyslam.net, there have been internal discussions within WWE’s creative team about booking a clash between Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley at Evolution 2 for the Women’s World Championship. Sky defeated Ripley before WrestleMania 41 to win the title and has defended it in a triple-threat match against Ripley and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41.

Hayes also reported that Roxanne Perez is expected to be crowned Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Raquel Rodriguez, replacing Liv Morgan. The tag Champions will then be expected to defend those titles at Evolution 2 in a triple-threat match.

One-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan, suffered an injury during a match against Kairi Sane last week. Liv dislocated her shoulder and will be out of action for around twelve weeks, or three months, as per reports.

Hayes also noted that the promotion is planning a battle royal for the upcoming all-women’s PLE, with the winner receiving a title shot at Clash in Paris, which is set for August 31, 2025, at the Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre, France.

The Bigger Picture

The Evolution PLE will be a historic night for WWE’s women’s division, stars from both the flagship brand, Raw, and SmackDown, as well as from the developmental brand, NXT, will partake in this show. Until now, WWE has announced one match for the show as NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne is set to defend the title against Jordynne Grace.

The show is likely going to change the landscape of the women’s division, with multiple title defenses and high stakes, it will surely be a memorable night for fans.
