Breaking down WWE’s most dominant superstars of 2025.
The year 2025 marked a major period of change for WWE under the TKO banner, highlighted by Monday Night Raw moving from cable television to Netflix and WWE PLEs finding a new home on ESPN. The company also expanded its event calendar with the introduction of two new PLEs: Wrestlepalooza and Clash in Paris.
The promotion also continued shining the spotlight on the incredible female superstars who delivered standout performances, headlined major events, and played a key role in shaping WWE’s biggest moments throughout the year.
The year also features the second edition of the all-women’s PLE, Evolution, which marked another milestone in women’s wrestling. The PLE not only featured multiple incredible performances but also produced major storylines that defined the rest of 2025.
From historic milestones and unforgettable matches to significant climbs up the WWE ladder, several performers left a lasting impression and helped define the year. As WWE wraps up 2025, here are the top 10 WWE female wrestlers of the year.
Honourable Mention: Maxxine Dupri

Current Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri, despite having no major storylines or matches in the early part of 2025, had her shining moment during the final three months when her feud with Becky Lynch ended in Dupri submitting Lynch and capturing her first title in WWE.
10. Jade Cargill

The current reigning WWE Women’s Champion, Jade Cargill, is the first entry on the list at number 10. After being forced out of action due to an attack backstage, Cargill made her return during the women’s Elimination Chamber match to reveal Naomi as the assailant. The two women were then involved in a feud that struggled due to Bianca Belair’s absence due to injury, but still managed to keep the fans engaged.
Cargill also won the Queen of the Ring 2025, and her breakthrough moment came following her heel turn when she attacked Tiffany Stratton and then, in November, defeated her to capture her first singles title in the promotion. Although the lack of opponents on the Blue brand has affected her momentum, returns and NXT call-ups should fix this issue in the coming months.

9. Chelsea Green

The current AAA Mixed Tag Team and Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green, is a true workhorse who never backs down from any challenge. Even in humiliating defeats, she consistently delivers memorable moments that earn her cheers from fans, despite her heel persona.
Green has the ability to turn any storyline into gold, with her willingness to entertain the fans no matter what. Despite her lack of wins, Green remained the biggest name WWE could rely on to deliver, even when they needed to save the Women’s US title.
8. Liv Morgan

Another workhorse of the women’s division, Liv Morgan, suffered a setback dropping the Women’s World title against Rhea Ripley at Raw on Netflix. However, Liv quickly bounced back, capturing the Women’s Tag Team titles, which they lost at WrestleMania and once again quickly regained on Raw after WrestleMania.
Liv’s shoulder injury in June during a match with Kairi Sane forced her out of action until last month, when she made her return to help Dominik Mysterio defeat John Cena and recapture the Intercontinental title. Liv is yet to make her in-ring return, but the current rift against Raquel Rodriguez hints at major moments for Liv in 2026.
7. Iyo Sky

Hailed as one of the best in-ring performers, Iyo Sky captured her first World title in WWE after defeating Rhea Ripley in March to become the Women’s World Champion. Sky then competed in three incredible matches against big names, ultimately dropping the title against Naomi at Evolution 2.
Sky’s feud with Asuka, in which she teamed with Rhea Ripley, has turned them into one of the most beloved tag teams on the current roster. Sky and Ripley are now set to challenge Asuka and Kairi Sane for the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
6. Rhea Ripley

We can’t talk about Iyo Sky in 2025 without talking about Rhea Ripley, who is considered one of the biggest draws in pro-wrestling. Ripley concluded her feud with Liv Morgan with the title win at Raw Netflix debut and then delivered incredible matches against Iyo and Bianca Belair.
Apart from her feud with Raquel Rodriguez, the biggest moments is definetly her fan-favorite pairing with Iyo as the two feud with the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). The tag team has also allowed WWE to develop fresh feuds, storylines, and matchups involving stars beyond Ripley and Iyo, keeping the division dynamic and avoiding stagnation.

5. Charlotte Flair

After over a year of absence, Charlotte Flair made her return during the women’s Royal Rumble match, eventually winning it to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s title at WrestleMania 41. However, the forced push irked fans who felt many deserved stars were pushed aside to make way for Flair.
Flair’s pairing with Alexa Bliss not only changed the fans’ reaction, but for the first time, Flair seemed to be genuinely loved by the WWE fans who showered her with love, appreciating the 14-time World Champion for her incredible work inside the ring.
4. Naomi

Naomi’s heel turn was one of the standout moments of the year. Despite some weakly written segments early on, the veteran delivered some of the harshest promos, made even more spine-tingling by her iconic heel laugh. The feud with Cargill, too, was successful despite Belar’s absence, in huge part due to Naomi.
The MITB cash-in at Evolution to win the Women’s World Championship was the crowning moment of her resurgence. Naomi had to vacate the title due to pregnancy, and she is currently expecting her first child with husband Jimmy Uso, a pregnancy considered a “miracle” due to past fertility issues. Nevertheless, her return is going to be equally iconic as she rechannels the heel persona.
3. Stephanie Vaquer

‘La Primera’ Stephanie Vaquer’s 2025 started with her Women’s NXT North American title, and she quickly climbed up the ladder, capturing the Women’s NXT title to hold the two titles simultaneously. After being promoted to the main roster, Vaquer defeated Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooz to capture the Women’s World title, capturing the four aforementioned titles in eight months.
Vaquer has also only lost twice in singles competition, both in NXT, with the latter being her last NXT in-ring appearance. She is currently set to defend the World title in a triple-threat match on the 29 December episode of Raw.
2. Tiffany Stratton

had one of the best starts of the year in 2025, when she cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase to pin Nia Jax and capture the WWE Women’s title. Stratton then went on a dominant run, remaining undefeated. The domination streak eventually came to an end at the hands of Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel, and her title reign came to a screeching halt at the November edition of SNME, where Jade Cargill pinned her.
Stratton is currently on hiatus following her title loss, but she remains undoubtedly one of the top names in WWE, and her return is highly anticipated to shake up the division once again.

1. Becky Lynch

Confirming her place at the top of this list, Becky Lynch, who made her return after a year of absence at WrestleMania 41, captured the Women’s Tag Team titles alongside Lyra Valkyria. However, she subsequently turned heel after losing the title on Raw after WrestleMania.
A veteran of the game, Lynch never let her ego drive her feuds as she put over Lyra Valkyria and made sure that the Women’s Intercontinental title is constantly featured in major storylines and PLEs. The rise of Maxxine Dupri is also in part thanks to the great work of Lynch. The brief alliance with her husband, Seth Rollins, also kicked off her feud with AJ Lee, which will eventually pay off, likely on the ‘Grandest Stage’.
Becky Lynch is the greatest female wrestler of all time- and it’s just not us saying it. Everybody says it. Sports Illustrated says it. Bleacher Report says it.
