Rumours suggest that Fatu has signed a contract with WWE
Jacob Fatu is a real-life Bloodline member from the Anoa’i Wrestling Family. He is the son of Sam Fatu, cousin of The Usos and is the nephew of Rikishi, The Rock and Roman Reigns. Jacob Fatu was trained by Rikishi and made his debut in 2012. He stated that The Usos are his inspirations for his professional wrestling career.
He spent the first seven years of his career in the independent promotions and moved to Major League Wrestling, teaming up with fellow Anoa’i family members there. He was an MLW World Heavyweight Champion there, holding the title for 819 days, which is the longest title reign in the history of MLW.
In February 2024, he ended his five-year tenure with MLW to become a free agent and Rikishi officially revealed his departure. On April 8, 2024 PWInsider, Wrestling Observer & Fightful reported that Fatu had signed a contract with WWE and would make his return sooner.
Last week PWInsider announced that they have heard from the source that Jacob Fatu could debut within the week. However later withdrew his statement saying that there was no urge for his debut. Although this being said, the WWE fans on Twitter predict Fatu could debut on Backlash.
Jacob Fatu to return at Backlash 2024?
Last week on SmackDown, The Bloodline was involved in a brawl with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton, which resulted in a Tag Team match at Backlash 2024 on May 4 (Saturday) in France.
As the match was being announced, WWE Fans on the internet went on to speculate the possible ending for the match. Where most of them predict that Jacob Fatu could debut during the tag team match to secure the win for The Bloodline, similar to how Bloodline members show up in a Black Hoodie.
Some fans predict that he could bring Zilla Fatu with him, as both were working in the Independent circuits as a team and dominated their opponents.
Some other fans predict that there is also a chance that he could interfere with Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Championship match.
However there isn’t any official update or a tease from the company about Jacob Fatu’s debut status. However we need to wait what he brings to the storyline. Are you excited for Jacob Fatu’s potential debut? Tell us in the comments.
