Jade Cargill suffered a gruesome injury during SmackDown!

Jade Cargill was left bloodied and scarred in the main event of the September 26 episode of WWE SmackDown, turning a Triple Threat Women’s Championship match into one of the most talked-about bouts in recent times.

While Tiffany Stratton retained her title, the shocking image of Cargill getting her face bloodied has dominated fan discussion after the show.

The match, which also featured Nia Jax, had already been filled with drama before the injury. Stratton survived several close calls, while Jax’s rough offense nearly spoiled the finish.

But the turning point came when Jax pushed Cargill into the steel steps at ringside. The collision cut Cargill near her eyebrow, leaving her with a deep gash that poured blood down her face.

Medical staff rushed to the ringside, but the former AEW star waved them off, continuing to fight with blood streaming across her face.

She even flexed for the cameras, turning the moment into a show of grit that earned a roar of approval from the Orlando crowd.

The contest nearly saw Cargill capture the title after she hit her Jaded finisher on Stratton. Just when it seemed the three-count was certain, Jax pulled the referee out of the ring to break the fall.

The spot set up Stratton’s eventual win, as she landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Jax to secure the pin and retain the WWE Women’s Championship.

Cargill’s condition became the story of the night, though. Fans feared the worst when the match ended with her face covered in blood.

However, post-show footage revealed her walking backstage without medical assistance, a sign that the injury, while gruesome, may not be as severe as it first appeared. Cargill also shared a close-up of the cut via her Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of the gruesome nature of the cut.

The broadcast closed with a face-off between Stratton and Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer. Both raised their titles in a moment that set the stage for a showdown confirmed for WWE Crown Jewel 2025.

Despite her setback on SmackDown, Cargill’s stock may have risen even further. Wrestling fans often admire performers who show toughness through legitimate injuries, and her willingness to keep competing with a crimson mask only added to her aura. Whether or not she gets another shot at Stratton, her performance ensured she remains one of the most compelling figures in WWE’s women’s division.
