The two veteran have reignited their feud for one final battle!
One of the most prominent and era-defining feuds of the last decade has been between John Cena and ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk. Although the feud died down before Punk’s WWE exit in 2014, it has been reignited one final time.
Cena, who defeated Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, is currently on his record-breaking 17th World title reign and is set to hang up his wrestling boots at the end of 2025. On the other hand, Punk, who openly expressed his desire to be a part of the retirement tour, is now set to battle the Undisputed Champion.
Following the 2025 edition of Money in the Bank, Punk confronted Cena, asking for a title shot while cutting a fiery promo referencing their previous storylines asked for a title shot, right then and there on the fallout show of Monday Night Raw.
However, Cena shot down the idea and instead stated that for a match like that Punk would have to follow him to Saudi Arabia. The promotion later announced the clash between the two, dubbed as the ‘one final battle’, the two stars will meet for the final time in Riyadh on June 28 at Night of Champions.
Ahead of their final battle, let us take a look at the head to head record of the two stars from their iconic clashes on Monday Night Raw to their PLE battles at Night of Champions and Money in the Bank.
