Karrion Kross is no longer contracted with WWE.
Karrion Kross has wasted little time plotting his next move after leaving WWE. The former NXT Champion officially announced his first match since his contract expired on August 10, and it’s set to be a violent return.
Kross will compete at WrestlePro’s Killer Smokeshow event in Rahway, New Jersey, on September 21. His opponent will be none other than Richard Holliday, and the two will clash in a No Disqualification Match. The Herald of Doomsday delivered a chilling warning to Holliday in a promo that made it clear he plans to pick up right where he left off.
“I’ll knock all your teeth out” – Karrion Kross sends chilling message
In a post shared on X, Kross left no doubt about the brutality fans can expect when he steps back into the ring.
“You know you did. You know what you’re doing right now. You know what you’re gonna do. So how about this? September 21st, Rahway, New Jersey. You show up to the Killer Smokeshow. It’ll be a No DQ Match, and I’ll knock all your fcking teeth out. I’m gonna squeeze all the oxygen out of your soul. And then I’ll see how f**ck*ng mouthy you are after that. I hope to see you there. Maybe we’ll get a coffee afterward when I take you to the hospital,” Kross declared.
His words come after weeks of tension with Holliday, who had been taking shots at him on social media. For Kross, this bout is not just about a comeback, it’s personal.

WWE exit is not a work

Despite rumors swirling online that Kross’ exit from WWE was part of a storyline, reports have confirmed otherwise. Fightful Select noted that both Kross and Scarlett officially left WWE after their contracts expired on August 10. While his post-WrestleMania 41 promo was indeed a work, it was not scripted, and his recent bookings with promotions such as WrestlePro and DEFY Wrestling signal his legitimate departure.
Kross’ last WWE match came at SummerSlam 2025, where he lost to Sami Zayn. Now, just over a month later, he’s ready to carve out the next chapter of his career on his own terms.
Who is Karrion Kross’ first opponent since leaving WWE?
Kross will face Richard Holliday in a No Disqualification Match at WrestlePro’s Killer Smokeshow on September 21, 2025.
Is Karrion Kross’ WWE exit real or a storyline?
