Las Vegas expected to host WrestleMania 42; New Orleans to host Money in the Bank 2026: Report

New Orleans was revealed as the location for 2026 in February!
During his return on the 02/21 episode of SmackDown, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson revealed that New Orleans, Louisiana, will host the 42nd edition of WrestleMania. The announcement was made at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
However, according to new reports, New Orleans will no longer host the ‘Grandest Stage’ in pro wrestling next year.
The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that WrestleMania 42 will no longer be held in New Orleans in 2026. The statement suggests the event may be rescheduled to a later, unspecified year.
After Wrestlenomics reported the following, NOLA.com reported that Las Vegas is expected to host WrestleMania in 2026, marking the second year in a row the city would hold the event. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, instrumental in securing the 2025 show, has not yet responded to a request for confirmation.
Instead of WrestleMania, New Orleans will host Money in the Bank PLE in 2026. This news follows the recently announced UFC 318 card, which is set to emanate on July 19, 2025, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
The events are part of a larger “multi-event, multi-year deal” currently being negotiated between local organizers and TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE and UFC. Money in the Bank usually takes place in June or July, but no date has been specified for the 2026 event.

New Orleans & Company, referenced in the statement, is a marketing agency dedicated to promoting tourism in the New Orleans area. The statement was described as a joint message from both parties, WWE representatives confirmed to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp that New Orleans would no longer host WrestleMania 42.
WrestleMania 42 will be held a week later than originally announced
Following the revelation, PWInsider Elite reported the date on which the PLE will emanate after the location change. The report indicates that local sources believe the two-night event is now expected to be held on the weekend of April 18 and 19, 2025.
This would be a week later than the originally announced dates, as the PLE was earlier announced as a two-night event on April 11 and 12, 2026. from the iconic Ceasers Superdome in New Orleans.
