Friday Night SmackDown returns to California with championship matches and heated rivalries.
Friday Night SmackDown returns on October 23 with an exciting lineup as the blue brand continues building toward Crown Jewel 2026, as the current update highlights WWE’s stance on conducting the PLE on November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The show will take place at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, featuring two championship matches, a Street Fight, and a tag team contest. Check out all the matches announced on the October 23 show.

What’s in store for tonight’s WWE SmackDown?
One of the biggest attractions of this week’s SmackDown episode will be Chelsea Green’s Women’s Championship defense against Roxanne Perez. Perez pinned Green in a non-title match on the October 12 episode of RAW, earning a chance to challenge for the championship.
Green will now look to prove that the previous result was an isolated setback, while Perez will aim to turn her momentum into a title victory.
Another major contest will see Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley make their first defense of the Women’s Tag Team Championship against Michin and B-Fab. The challengers, associated with Jade Cargill’s Baddies, have been involved in confrontations with members of the women’s division, setting up their opportunity against the new champions.
The episode will also feature Giulia and Blake Monroe in a Street Fight after their rivalry escalated in recent weeks. Giulia and Blake Monroe will renew their rivalry in a Street Fight after months of confrontations and personal animosity.
Monroe defeated Giulia in their previous encounter on October 2, using her tactics to secure the victory. The result left Giulia looking for another opportunity to settle the score.
The MFTs, represented by Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, will take on Bakusai’s Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki in a non-title tag team match. Backed by Haku, the champions will look to use their physical advantage to control the contest. Bakusai, meanwhile, will look to be a dominant force in the Tag team division on SmackDown.
They will rely on Nakamura’s experience and striking ability alongside Kyoki’s contribution to challenge their opponents.
A World Tag Team Championship match is also scheduled for the live audience at Toyota Arena. Bron Breakker and Austin Theory of The Vision will defend their titles against LA Knight and Solo Sikoa in a dark match, which is not part of the televised card.
