SmackDown’s landscape once again changed in Chicago.

The newly crowned Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn, just nine days after his title win, was set to defend it in a rematch against the number one contender Cody Rhodes on this week’s July 6 Raw in Chicago. However, Gunther attacked Rhodes during the opening segment.

Due to this attack, Cody failed to get medical clearance and was replaced by none other than CM Punk, who returned for the first time since April to beat Zayn and capture the Undisputed title after 13 years.

This win ahead of SummerSlam has changed the landscape of SmackDown, and now fans are waiting to see what transpires as Punk returns to the Blue brand tonight.

However, despite SummerSlam around the corner, there is no update on her return. Similarly, there is no return update for Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens.
