A Champion is crowned every year at the namesake PLE!

The 2024 edition of the Crown Jewel PLE was the starting point of an entirely novel tradition for the professional wrestling promotion.

Raw and SmackDown’s world champions faced off to determine the inaugural Crown Jewel Champions in the men’s and women’s divisions. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes defeated World Heavyweight Champion Gunther to win the inaugural men’s title.

On the other hand, Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan defeated WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax in the ‘Champion vs Champion’ clash to win the inaugural women’s title. The Championship winners received a ‘massive ring’ similar to a Super Bowl ring that ‘shows to the world that they are the one true champion in WWE.’

This served as their true reward for the victory, as the Crown Jewel Title remained in Saudi Arabia, and the winners didn’t take the physical belts home with them.

As 2025 rolled on, it’s once again time for the Champion vs Champion clash, and ahead of the show, let us take a look at the list of all men’s and women’s Crown Jewel Champions. Needless to say, this article will be updated from time to time as new Champions are crowned every year.

No, the title is only once contested at the namesake PLE every year, where Raw and SmackDown champions battle each other in a ‘Champion vs Champion’ match to determine the winner.

When and where will Crown Jewel 2025 take place?

The seventh edition of the PLE will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.
