Paul referenced McGregor’s previous social media comments aimed at Roman Reigns before taking another shot at the Irishman.
“He put out a tweet dissing Roman Reigns; the Roman Reigns tweet was recently. At the moment, Conor is doing WWE. He is incapable of fighting.”
McGregor has frequently teased a future in professional wrestling over the years, although he remains under UFC contract and has repeatedly stated that his focus is on returning to mixed martial arts once he has recovered from surgery.

“I’ll be honest, I texted my boss after Conor lost. I was like, ‘Bro, Conor is cooked, do something with it. Make a bag, let me fight him. Big WWE star versus big WWE star, cause that’s what he is now.’”
According to Paul, the response from WWE suggested McGregor’s competitive future remains uncertain.
“He said that he thinks he’s done.”
Despite Paul’s comments, McGregor has publicly maintained that he intends to return after knee surgery. The former featherweight and lightweight champion still has one fight remaining on his current UFC contract and has repeatedly said he plans to honor that commitment before considering any future opportunities.
For now, a WWE match between Paul and McGregor remains purely hypothetical.
