Major returns might be planned for WrestleMania.
The stage is set for WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as fans flock to the arena on April 18 and 19 for the two-night spectacle, featuring some of the top names and biggest prizes in all of pro-wrestling.
Additionally, John Cena will take over hosting duties for WrestleMania this year. This will be his first appearance since hanging up his wrestling boots at the December 2025 edition of SNME.
Before the lights go out and the pyros hit on Saturday, let us take a look at the five potential spoilers that might be in store for WWE fans this weekend.
5. Trick Williams captures his first title on the main roster
Sami Zayn will defend the United States title against Trick Williams at the PLE, after capturing it weeks before the show. This seems like a forgone conclusion that Williams is going to win, given the massive fan support for him and, in contrast, fans booing Zayn.
Reports have also hinted at a possible double turn for the match, which will see Williams walk out with the US title as a babyface.

4. Paige returns

Multiple reports have confirmed that Paige has signed a new multi-year deal with the WWE, and the reports have also hinted at her replacing Nikki Bella in the Fatal Four-way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles, alongside Brie Bella.
While Nikki has confirmed that she will compete at Mania, this doesn’t mean WWE will pass on the opportunity for Paige’s return at the ‘Grandest Stage.’
3. Becky Lynch shatters the streak

After losing the Women’s Intercontinental title against AJ Lee, Becky Lynch is looking to reclaim the title in the rematch this weekend. Becky is yet to register a single win over AJ and has been forced to tap out in their previous three encounters.
Lynch is likely going to end up on top, claiming her first win over AJ at Mania. This win would help the title as AJ is on a part-time schedule, and WWE should also opt to conclude the feud and not prolong it, as fans have already started to tune out.
2. Bron Breakker returns to cost Seth Rollins

Despite Bron Breakker’s medical clearance, WWE decided to book Seth Rollins against Gunther to give time on TV to build properly towards Seth vs Bron. On the other hand, Gunther is also hinted at a favor from Paul Heyman, which is likely going to be a match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
Meanwhile, the best way to book Rollins vs Breakker would be for Bron’s return during the match to attack Rollins, thus resuming the feud, while costing Rollins the match and keeping Gunther’s dominant streak alive until he faces the Beast Incarnate.
1. Roman Reigns defeats CM Punk

The main event of Night 2 will see CM Punk put the World Heavyweight title on the line against Roman Reigns. Multiple theories have surfaced regarding the match, including Punk joining forces with Paul Heyman and the Vision.
However, the hint that Pat McAfee’s involvement with Randy Orton is likely going to pay off on Night 2 and the tease that Wreslting has more than one royal family likely means Reigns teaming up with Orton and McAfee, leaving Rhodes and Punk to represent WWE, while the former represent TKO.
A potential WWE vs TKO angle is being teased, and with Orton and Reigns capturing the title, the angle might pick up steam. That said, how will the fans react to it if this turns out to be true?
When and where will WrestleMania 42 take place?
The 42nd edition of the PLE will be a two-night event on April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Who will headline the two-night spectacle?
Night 1 will be headlined by Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, while Night 2 will close with CM Punk putting the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Roman Reigns.
Which matches will open both nights of Mania?
The six-man tag team match involving the Usos, LA Knight, IShowSpeed, and the Vision will open Night 1, while Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi will open Night 2 of the PLE.
